For real.. Just crazy fast even in stock form.

I've always wanted a run at a stock 997.1 TT in my M. I ran one but it had a tune, exhaust and intercoolers. Hopefully I'll find a stock one to run me one of these days..

I ran a C6 Z06 with intake and tune that got out on me pretty quick.. The road got really bumpy there at the end hence my comment lol

A friend just traded in his E92 M3 for a C6 Z06 and called me out for some rolls. Hopefully I'll get with him soon. He actually traded a C6 Zo6 for the M3 and now has gone back to the Z06. I'll ask him why when I see him..

LOL the gearing on the Vette is really amazing I have done 40mph rolls in 1st gear with room to accelerate before shifting... I chased a HCI C6Z on a Cheesesteak run last year, rolling while right behind him in 2nd gear I held on nicely and well into third falling back about 1.5 cars. He hit 4th and phuckin disappeared just crazy, turns out he was feathering 2nd and 3rd while I was flat out LOL. Got traction in 4th and bang, zoom he was gone. @Blaizon he was out that night as well. Fun night serious gonzo triple digit speeds that night.

Damn those Zs are fast. Odd question: How bad is insurance compared to cars like the 335 and M3? Im assuming its much worse...

Thats Gary's by state, driver and town... But also how you insure it. I use collector insurance with unlimited miles and a stated value. Less than $1k per year.

    There's a stock 2008 on dragtines that ran a 10.98 @ 128.9 on stock tires.

Roll on races between stock 2007 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo Automatic and 2007 Corvette Z06

Good battle here between two fairly closely matched cars. The Porsche 997.1 Turbo is rated at 473 horsepower stock and the C6 Corvette Z06 is rated at 505 horsepower. The 911 Turbo sends power to all four wheels and is heavier carrying about 300 more pounds. The Z06 is lighter and sends the power to the rear wheels. On paper this matchup favors the Z06 from a roll. The result in practice as the video shows is that the Z06 is the faster car stock for stock.

From a stop the Porsche would do better but the Z06's weight and power advantage are too much to overcome in a roll race. The turbo does well though, good race between the two.

He went from a C6 Z06 to the M3 6 speed then back to another C6 Z06. I'll ask him when I see him to run him. Hopefully get with him in the next 2 weeks. I need to load the new tune file Sal sent me and give it time to adapt.

I've loved the C6 Z06 for years now. Bad ass exterior and amazing out-of-the-box performance. I used to think the interior wasn't so bad (I drove a 2003 Mustang GT at the time), but now that I've been in the 335i (not a stellar interior, but much better than the Mustang) I get why people always bag on the Vette interior. However, a new steering wheel and some miscellaneous interior bits could make it nicer without spending too much money. I'm seriously considering one for my next ride, but am still enjoying the 335i for now.
