In what? In a 600whp S4, you're kidding right? If that's the car you are talking about you're nuts but I would be happy to oblige. Maybe you should start with a 650whp C63 BS. We can do it whenever the salt is off the road and the pavement is a little warmer. You live in/near Chicago?

Yep, the Supra is the only car on the list that worries me at this point....and maybe the Gallardo but only if it's a UGR.

Trust me, I have similar traction issues on unprepped pavement, I can smoke my tires(DR's) from 50-120mph on the expressway, these passes are going to take some finnesse if I want to lay down a good time.

The airstrip will be much worse than Chicago's unprepped pavement. This is Bakersfield. Land of dust and wind. High HP/TQ cars that aren't AWD are going to have serious issues hooking up at all...even with DR's. At the last roll-on event just down the road from Bakersfield in Coalinga, the higher HP RWD cars with turbos were tuning them down by hundreds of HP and getting faster times. Coalinga was swept before the event but it didn't matter.

Airstrip tarmac quality looks pretty good to me and Famoso always offers better traction than Sacramento.

Just because Coalinga was junk doesn't meant this one is.

Coalinga wasn't bad at all. It was actually a sick set up. I mean it was my first airstrip.

An airstrip rental will be cool no matter what but that tarmac was junk and covered in dust. Practically ever person was complaining about traction.

    This should be much better.

Not sure how much difference it may make, but just a heads up. Not only will the runway be swept by the facility sweeper, but we have a company interested in sponsoring their services for the event. They have a fleet of vacuum sweeper trucks. Hopefully it works out and they can be there with us.

Sounds like it's going to be a great event. But if it's windy at all it won't matter how much sweeping is done and dust and sand will end up on the track making it tough to put down big power.

I hope you are right. The Coalinga taramac was swept Friday and the vids from pre-runs on Friday showed very little dust "trail" compared to the vids on Sat and Sun. The wind blew the sand back on the track. The wind was the enemy.
