Good runs. A tune won't pickup much hp, but it does add some mid range tq from what I've seen on Nismo's.

    Really close runs

like Blazion said, tune won't do much to a 370, just a few extra hp peak and a tiny bit more tq under the curve. If it had some bolt-ons it would have been even closer

Indeed. I only picked it up to keep me sane because I knew I wouldn't be driving it for a year. I'm going with epic on this next one and a full exhaust from Bimmerworld and some sort of header. I want a v1 ss but only used.

    Good runs.

Edit: Worst tune possible for an N/A S54. Pig rich and twitchy.

Epic or shark? I have seen nothing but great results from epic.

Nismo 370Z has same power and a little less weight. Probably 50 lbs lighter, but with my passenger compared to his, probably 100 total lbs.

The first post clearly said it had a TMS Shark 91 tune. My car came with that pile of dung. It really is horrible.

This is the worst possible tune for the s54. With an Epic, AA, or Evolve tune the S54 might actually pull.

Add headers and/or a real tune (or some twistys) and its not close.

Sure it's close. They make great power with bolt ons well. Not nearly as much but given their average dyno numbers, they are not far behind unless we're talking alpha n and carbon air boxes. That puts the e46 into another league. As far as road racing goes, a set of pads, oil cooler, and tires, a nismo 370 would take an e46 m3. Not by much, but it would be something to see. I take it you have never driven a 370z? I used to own one.

And the shark injector is not as bad as you are making it seem. It's pig rich for its variability. Canned tune is for various cars, not specific to one. So it makes sense it's pig rich. An epic evolve or aa tune is different as they are more vehicle specific. Tuning to the threshold isn't what canned tunes were designed for.

I've never definitively ran a Nismo 370z, but those 370z I've seen I've devastated which is why I expected more

I've never done 1/4 mile, and no 60-130's. Hopefully soon I'll get out and have some more real world data to share
