Picked this one up today and I can't wait to try it. Going to give it a shot with some Sushi we'll see how that works:

^ Ok, it's a glorious whiskey. It's on the young side but smokey, sweet, and flavorful with just enough complexity for its age. It's got a light body to it but the smoke at the end is fairly intense. Initial taste is floral and buttery. It isn't overbearing either it is balanced.

Glad I bought it, what a beauty! A modern Islay style.

Nądurra is the most natural expression of The Glenlivet. It is batch produced at cask strength using traditional methods.
Most whiskies are chill-filtered to prevent the liquid becoming cloudy when adding water or ice.
Omitting chill-filtration gives the mouth feel more body and a richer texture, and stays true to the style of whisky that was enjoyed in the 19th century. It turns cloudy at low temperatures because it contains more natural oils from the grain.
The first-fill ex-bourbon casks impart Nądurra’s distinctive vanilla notes.

Thanks. I was wondering if it was flavored at all due to the picture.

I finish each day with a glass of bourbon or scotch(or martini, different topic)....Maker's mark #46 seems to have some sort of spell on me, It's no single malt import (although I prefer sweet over peat), nevertheless I find myself with a fresh bottle every week. I feel it's an excellent example of a Kentucky bourbon/whiskey that's readily available/affordable. Johnny Walker blue is solid if I feel like spending more...but imho, #46 is pretty awesome

Bought the Johnnie Walker Double Black because it was only $39 but... meh. I mean, it's a good Whiskey. I guess I'm started to get spoiled though.

I don't think Macallan is capable of producing a bad Whiskey.

REALLY want to try this one though.

Ha! Speaking of sushi...you should start another thread on Sake. I had tried a bunch of crap for a long time, then had some good guidance and the stuff is straight amazing. But, I know nothing about it other than a few great bottles I've had. Wonder if anyone else knows anything here....

My whiskey and wine habits are costing me enough.

I like Sake, I do. However, I do not enjoy it nearly as much as wine or whiskey. I'm going to create quite the whiskey collection this year.

For whiskey/scotch selection, you need to go here ma-man:

    http://www.waldhaus-am-see.ch/en-us/...whiskybar.aspx

The up-side is that if you go at the right time you get to see Russian mobsters takeover the town (St Moritz) and fly in their supercars and whores on military spec Russian helicopters. LOL - no bull$#@!.

During "normal" days in the winter, you will see people driving their beater Porsche Turbos and Audi RS's as their winter cars since their supercars can't get around.

    "Lotta money on this record!"

Very nice buy way too far. This place has an epic selection and is close. Whenever I take an LA trip I go here and order way too much whiskey: http://sevengrandbars.com/seven-grand-downtown-la/

I haven't seen a whiskey selection that rivals it: http://sevengrandbars.com/menus/Seve...hiskeyMenu.pdf
