However, the big single is not going to spin fast enough at idle to push any positive pressure, so you will be sucking (dirty) air into the valve at idle. I went up to the yellow spring and now the valve stays closed under idle, but still opens well upon throttle closure.

For the Vacuum draw on the 335 (~20inHg), I believe you will want a 10lb spring in there ... possibly 11 if it still cracking open at idle.

The turbo your running has an anti-surge compressor housing, so even a slower responding spring (11lb) isn't going to kill your turbo.

Not sure which yellow spring you went with but for the Tial Q BOV there's no yellow spring. Here's the options:

    -20 and 21 in/Hg - the 11 Psi spring (Pink)
    -16 and -19 in/Hg - the 10 Psi spring (plain)
    -12 and -15 in/Hg - the 8 Psi spring (white)
    -8 and -11 in/Hg - the 6 Psi spring (Black)

At idle most N54s once warmed up from what I've seen do around -19 to -20 so the plain spring (no color) would be recommended in that case. Otherwise you'd go with pink to keep it closed at idle but have it blow off on throttle lift which in most cases causes vacuum to shoot up to 23-24" of vacuum. Anyone else out there measure these on their car or monitored their boost gauges at idle or throttle lift?

I think I bought mine here:

    http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/...-Valve-Springs

They reference a yellow spring. Tial may have changed some things around though. I know they have newer WG springs that replace older colors. It's possible they did the same with their BOV's.

I like the way they coil up looking all badass!

Not to be a picky dick, but ceramic coating might look even better than a wrap. That would look really clean.

I hear ya.. its going to be black heat wrapping that will actually look clean. I am trusting the builders judgement on this.. he said that the heat wrapping will work better with less issues. This may be his first serious BMW build but he does custom turbo kits on everything from Hondas/acuras to vettes and lambos for a living.

True lol, I promised I would deliver numbers and I won't give up on that. Summer is coming and so be it if I have to dyno in 105* ambient and like 85+% humidity lol, you're no stranger to it. I want to dyno as close to installing the stage 2 upgrade as possible. That way we'll have a delta between the two stages with little discrepancy in temp, and other variables. The dyno I will go to has a 'baseline' of me FBO sans upgraded CHRA's, every other mod has stayed the same. I'm excited for that time but knowing me delays upon delays... I have a good idea of the power I make (lol or made at this point, been so long without the car) because of what I can keep up with. I never meant to make it a secret of what power I make, and we will know as soon as I dyno.
