seth's right, spend your money on a high quality center channel and receiver, get a good sub, and then the rest can be more budget friendly

I'm gonna be picking up a new one for my family room seeing as how my Sony is just about shot. I swear new equipment is not as good as it used to be 6 years ago. everything breaks too often now
I won't touch anything Sony anymore. You pay for a name, not quality.

I agree with Denon, Yamaha and Onkyo also solid.

On woot.com you can get an onkyo receiver system for 499 with 7 speakers and sub and the reviews look pretty good. Half price today on their site. Meant for BTM

Not bad. What's it cover? I always thought the insurance would be on the storage place.

State farm hooks it up. If you need an agent let me know.

Budget is around a g, but less is always better. The space is a decent size but not huge, I'll see if I can find the actual dimensions or just measure tonight when I get home. I know I'm not going to be living here for the rest of my life...so the upgrades I've been making that would stay after a sale have been nice but more budget friendly, but the $#@! I buy for myself that I'll be taking with me I like to buy stuff that'll last me forever if possible - hence looking at B&W. My dad has been big into Polk Audio his whole life and I'll admit his setup sounds good. I don't have much experience with Klipsch outside the earbuds I use to work out.

Thanks for the advice about the center channel lol I probably would've done the complete opposite...buy awesome satellites and maybe even forgone the center channel for now. As for receivers, I'm completely clueless, but it seems Denon does check all the boxes and they have a pretty good reputation as a reliable and nice "entry level" brand at least from the pro-audio side of the world
