M135i does the Ring Bridge to Gantry in 8:05

Ok, it is an unofficial time set by the M135i, and from Bridge to Gantry you miss the long straight, but non the less very impressive.
8:05 for Bridge to Gantry is as fast a time as a Mercedes SLS AMG for that stretch.
And this time was not set by a professional racing driver, but by some Chech press driver from the website autoforum.cz.

So it must have been in traffic. However, how accurate is it to say it's as quick as the SLS? Isn't the SLS a lot quicker than that?

    Not really.
If you watch the video they only pass 3 or 4 cars in total.
Not much going on during touristfahren in this cold weather apparently.
Well, if a good driver with an SLS AMG does BTG in the same time, then that's it

Very impressive, especially for not having an LSD.

There is no way this car can match an SLS.

Chris Harris doing a lap in a SLS AMG.
    Not a full BtG though.

FYI, the most recent issue of the magazine sport auto came out at the end of last week and timed the M135i (manual transmission, no Xdrive) for a whole lap on the Nürburgring: 8:18 was the result. Really good for a car without a limited diff and not far away from the time of the 1M Coupé. The car had Michelin PSS tires.

Current: Audi R8 V10 2013 S-Tronic, daytona grey, carbon side blades, MTM tune, Michelin PSS tires, Capristo x-pipe
Gone: Audi R8 V10 2010 manual, ice silver, grey side blades, MTM tune, MTM air filters, Michelin PSS tires
Gone: BMW 335i Individual (Öhlins, PFC brakes, RB turbos etc.)

    Gone: Alpina B3 E46 3,3

This M135i is the only reason the Michelin PSS tire is now available in Europe in 225/40V18 and 245/35V18 size, with * .
That alone means I don't have to import my front tires once my current PSS fronts are worn Click here to enlargeClick here to enlarge
