    VAC Motorsports creates a 700+ horsepower VF-Engineering supercharged stroker 4.4 liter E9X M3 S65 V8 with a billet dry sump oil system

Now this is a serious build that gets tremendous nod of approval from BimmerBoost. VAC built an S65 V8 out of an E9X M3 with forged internals including low compression pistons with increased stroke from new rods an a 4.4 liter crank. The end result is a bottom end good for well over 700 horsepower with forced induction as seen pictured below with the VF-Engineering Vortech based centrifugal supercharger kit.

Not only is the motor built, stroked, and supercharged VAC also gave it a billet dry sump system. Some people believe the stock S65 V8 oiling system is up to par but tuners in the know who have disassembled these motors seem to agree on premature bearing wear which the oiling system likely is contributing too. Whether one believe the stock oiling system is up to par or not the billet dry sump system here is definitely a large improvement over the stock system and certainly offers a bit of peace of mind.

Very nice work here by VAC and hopefully they can provide more info on how the dry sump system gets along with supercharged S65 V8 applications and if there is any need to worry about extra stress on the crank. This is definitely one of the baddest S65 V8 forced induction builds out there, great job VAC and give us a dyno shoot as soon as you can.

Man am I jealous of this. Part of me wants to go to a 4.4 liter now. Definitely want the dry sump as well.

@Mike@VAC tell me how much the dry sump system would run and if there is any need to worry about extra stress with a supercharged application.

For a 4.4 liter I would need new rods but I could use my same pistons. Would need the crank as well. How much a difference do you feel the extra displacement makes? Why not go more aggressive than 4.4 liters?

Also how strong do you feel the block is? This is sleeved? Do you feel flex is an issue? How much HP do you think the block can support even when sleeved? The bore spacing is pretty tight even with the stock bore.

Freaking sick build guys, major props.

@Sticky : How will your build stack up against this? Just curious.

"bottom end good for well over 700 horsepower" Will the blower be able to push 700hp? Dry sump ftw. Looks like a bad ass engine.

    Wow...insane!

I would love to have two of these. One for the living room and for the E90 M3....haha

Hopefully they get this motor in a car, dyno'd, and spitting our crazy numbers on the track.

I have the stock stroke and no dry sump. I'll add a dry sump soon enough. If I re-do the stroke I'd probably do a billet block as well. I'll only explore this if I can fit a much larger blower but first I just want what I have currently done and to enjoy it for a bit .

My build will provide more power than this but will be more peaky.

600 wheel can be done on the stock internals and blower so 700+ is child's play with this even with the same blower.

I like the looks of the sedan, but damn the coupe is sexy! I'm not sure what I'll do, but the S85 w/ DCT is certainly an option.

On a serious note @Sticky I was told that the Dry sump the oil would have to be in the trunk no room. This car has Cams in it also I think it would be nice to see a YSI on it instead of the SI blower that it has now.

    What price did they quote?

They have to be running Schrick cams just wondering which ones and how they are with boost as they seemed to be designed with a naturally aspirated application in mind.

40k + to build that same set up without the blower.

Some money can be saved by not using the cams and dry sump.

That's way on the high side, not sure what is accounting for that $40k. Should be $40k with the blower and dry sump all installed.

Naturally, also with using the stock crank. But what fun is that?
