    Longboarder's (2013 e92 M3 ESS VT2 600) Airstrip Attack Vids

Here's my vids from the Shift-Sector Airstrip Attack. My car is a 2013 e92 M3 with an ESS VT2 600 SC, MRF Engineering catless x-pipe, Akrapovic slip on @ 95 octane. I didn't post the completely botched runs (I had a couple and my competitors had a couple). Also missing my best run which was against Robert/Vishnu's built motor and lightened Z06 which made ~ 600 wheel. That vid is posted up somewhere I just need to find it.

Run 1 vs HG Motorsports Mercedes SLS AMG FBO w/long tube headers, tune, etc

    Run 2 vs n54 335 RB Turbo Upgrade FBO + meth (SRanch335)

    Run 3 vs e60 M5 FBO

Run 4 vs Ford GT with upgraded SC. I hit fuel cutoff at the top of 5th moving the camera lol

Run 5 vs Vishnu/FFTEC 335 Single Turbo Development Car (Shiv's). Miscommunication on the start speed...I started early.

    Run 6 vs 2013 GT-R with midpipe

Run 7 vs 2013 GT-R FBO with tune, injectors, full exhaust, etc

Run 8 vs Ryan/Shift-S3ctor's cammed/tuned Z06. This same Z06 put three car lengths on the Arkym Orange M3 ESS T2 650 at Trona.

Run 9 vs 2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG biturbo with Performance Package

Run 10 vs 2013 Mercedes E63 AMG Renntech Tune

Run 11 vs Vishnu/FFTEC 335 Single Turbo (CaptainInsano). Apparently I got the jump on this one.

    Run 12 vs n54 335 RB Turbo Upgrade FBO + meth (Sick335)

    Run 13 vs F10 M5

    Run 14 vs ESS VT3 M3 at 11.25psi (Drew)

Ok just found my run against Robert/Vishnu's Z06. Lightened @ 3,200 lbs with Robert in it. Built motor making 583 RW on a conservative dyno and 615 RW on an optimistic one. Robert beat a ZR1 at the Trona Airstrip Attack in Feb.

Hey Terry. I didn't post my first runs against you, Sergey and Eric. I was in the right lane and for all three runs, spun 2nd so badly it immediately hit fuel cut-off and the car lost all momentum, and then I shifted into third gear. So basically for all of those runs I started behind you guys in third gear at around 50 mph....which on the S65 platform is waaay low in the powerband. All you guys put 5+ cars on me on those runs. I didn't post other runs where the same thing happened to my competitors, including a run against CupertinoSteve's Vishnu/FFTEC single turbo 335 and Joe/Trinity's 600 whp VF M3. All the botched runs were on Day 1. I think most people figured out how to combat the traction issues and Day2 was full of clean runs for me.

I appreciated the videos @longboarder and would love to host this on the front page but your camera angle choices make some of the runs somewhat difficult to view in their entirety.

Don't want to sound negative here as the vids are much appreciated but I hope in the future you can add another angle to the mix.

Hell yea, another angle with me as the other opponent. I'll be ready for you @longboarder for the next event. 500whp or bust!

    No worries at all.

This was my first time using cameras on my car and the footage is really bad...but I learned quite a bit and I have since changed the location of my inside camera mount for my digital camera and also learned that the GoPro battery life is really short so I will make sure it gets tuned off after every run. I will also get another GoPro so that I have 3 camera angles (2 GoPro's aiming front and back, and the dig camera inside pointing at the car I'm running) for the next event.

This is also my first time editing videos of any kind and I just picked up some software that can splice mutiple vids together so hopefully I can figure that out.

Your car is really fast as is. At 500 whp with your weight your car will fly. We can run at the Dec 29 roll on if you can make it.

I do have other things planned for my car...just don't know if any of it will happen within the next month. Some of my planned mods have nothing do to with engine power but rather are certain bushing/suspension parts off the M3 GTS which will make the car much more efficient at getting the power to the ground, which will in turn make it faster. I also have planned a 625 pulley and higher (8,600 rpm) redline/fuel cut-off for now.

look into the gopro wifi to save battery life, get some 32 or bigger SD cards. preparation goes a long way for video's. I would suggest the rear camera angle you mount the gopro on the window, right behind the mirror so it blocks the wind

Thanks man, I don't think I'll have anything done by then. Maybe a tune for 100 octane so I can move up to 450whp range. Building the motor is my next step, which will take a while lol. I'm looking forward to Dec 29. I'll have to check it out.

No details so far, but for all their events at Big Willow, Shift-S3ctor will split the day into a track session in the morning and a roll-on in the afternoon.

Let's see if they even get it done in time I highly doubt it considering what they need to re-do.

I spoke with the Shift-S3ctor guys and unfortunately the December 29 event will not include a roll-on. I'm participating in a private track rental with them this Friday so maybe I'll have more info to share on their next roll-on event.

Since I posted the vids above, two were subsequently posted by my opponents and they were much better vids than the crappy ones I took, The first is from Greg's 700 HP Ford GT with the upgraded supercharger, and the second is from the heads/cammed and widended and lightened (3,200 lb with driver) Z06 piloted owned by Robert from Vishnu Tuning.

    Enjoy.
