    Yep, read this: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...e-common-place

My next car is definitely going to be a BMW with one of these TT V8 motors.

Yeah but what about the new 5.5L twin turbo from AMG. I mean aren't they already ahead of the game? That powerplant will trickle down the entire AMG line. Meaning the much lighter C63 will get it, including C-class coupe coming next year.

Well, no telling if AMG will switch to DCT for everything so BMW has a one up there. Plus, BMW using top mount turbos in the valley is just... freaking awesome. The BMW motor is a better design in my opinion and unlike anything else out there. 4.4 vs. 5.5 really isn't a big deal especially considering BMW's are usually lighter.

Looks like they are going to the Speedshift MCT, which replaces the torque converter with a wet start-off clutch. An improvement over there current autos.

Going to be a beast indeed.

I had the opportunity to work for Benz for a short time and let me tell you, the old SOHC supercharged engines were the best thing that came out of MB. Everything else they make sucks. Not friendly to the hands at all to work on, electrical problems out the ass, waterleaks (in ALL model lines) cam position sensors failing left and right.

Not to mention the engines themselves are well...ugly if I can describe how good an engine looks.
