What were you using as far as bushings to mount the diff to the subframe?

Some people asked to see the conditions from the dyno, STD correction factor as well as the same run but in SAE. Updated original post...

Honestly, most drive line shops could probably do it without much problems. Of coarse, you could go ahead and invest in a CF driveshaft if you've got a couple grand lying around.

TBH, this looks like it is a u-joint problem not a DS problem.

Yes but that statement should be expanded to cover whether they were talking about N/A or F/I and pure CFM or based on valve and port sizes.

The N54 head has fairly small ports and valves because it's not meant to turn high RPM. The 230CFM or so it does flow (ported) on the intake side is likely sufficient at a high boost pressure to make some serious HP. I am a little more worried about the exhaust side but with a turbo behind it, if the RPMs aren't too high, you may be able to get power up pretty high. (800WHP @ 6500rpm is about 650lb-ft of torque, if you can carry it that high, like Shiv did w/500lb-ft.)

If Vargas/Morkin/anyone ever comes through with GTX twins for the N54, that head on a 9:1CR built engine is going to make serious power as long as the block survives.

The buzz isn't that bad with my solid bushings. I've heard much worse, and I kind of like the noise.

I saw the shaft and pumpkin @ Ivo's today. That is one clean cut man. That must have been a serious launch.

Totally awesome! Which front bumper are you using? It really allows great airflow on the FMIC. I'm planning to upgrade my stock pre-LCI E90 bumper. Thanks!

I wonder if there is a shoulder machined into the pinion shaft right at the location it broke. Maybe a step down from the inner diameter of the bearing to the diameter of the splines. That would explain why the break was so clean.
