    I got 57whp over my best 98RON map with stock turbos, and 30whp over my best methanol result (which resulted in 118mph trap speed at the track). If you would like to call this a waste of money it's your opinion which no one would probably share.
    and where are these dyno sheets showing 57 whp gains pump vs pump? I am not knocking you OP, as I also own rbs.

    Couple things about vdynos for power...If you want to be as close to actual dyno results with vdyno make sure to:

    1) Put in the right weather conditions for the runs (Ambient Temp and Barometric Pressure)
    2) Use the right tire diameter
    3) Up the smoothing to 6! Spikes/bumps in the curves make no sense when it comes to power delivery and are induced due to low smoothing and road conditions.
    4) Put in your weight appropriately, don't leave it as zero
    5) Use a FLAT LEVEL road. Going uphill the numbers will be lower, downhill they'll be higher.
    6) Stick to the same stretch of road. Even if the stretch is downhill or uphill vdyno stays very consistent BUT you can't use those results for peak power/tq numbers. You can definitely use it for "gains"/deltas from one run to the next though given 1-5 above are specified correctly.

    Click here to enlarge I know you do. It was a general comment for others as I too often see graphs posted with smoothing of 2 or 3 as numbers tend to read higher due to uneven road surfaces/bumps.

    To really be able to tell if a particular dyno graph makes sense to use, drop the smoothing to 1 and see if there are any large spikes near peak torque and power areas. If its relatively smooth the run is close to actual results.

    Its a great tool to be honest but it MUST be used with the right understanding of its parameters and required run conditions. Otherwise it'll just be off and a waste of time.

    Why I am not worrying about Virtual Dyno results:

    - I always got the vdyno power within 3-4whp of the Mustang dyno I regularly go to, because I always used the correct parameters and weighted my car and me separately.

    - I always use the correct tire diameter. I have Nitto 555R 285/35/18, which is exactly 25.9" in diameter.

    - I always use the same stretch of highway which appears to be flat.

    - I do not agreee on using smoothing to 6. Smoothing level should be increased only until the curve is smooth enough to be able to properly interpret the results, otherwise it's mathematically obvious that larger and larger peak portions disappear from the calculations and this is not desired at all. If you would apply infinite smoothing, you would probably get a straight line between the power at minimum RPM and power at maximum RPM.

    What I did not do in this run is to compensate for the temperature (check the SAE box). This would lower the power by 14whp. Do the math, 45whp extra is still good Click here to enlarge

    I suppose it remains to be seen, will post the results but I can't go the the dyno before I also have a meth map. But I am very confident in the numbers, since I did dozens of Mustang dynos and dozens of vdynos, and all matched very closely.

    However, on the JB4, its one size fits all boost control approach that allows for auto learning which is great BUT it doesn't allow the end user to fine tune the boost control to their liking and deal with things such as slight under targeting/overshoot which happens more often than not. That's also not to say that this is easy to do with ATR/ATP, it requires tuning/time, but the support is there. Different strokes for different folks as always.
    It's all fairly easy to handle but the new JB4 ISO stuff is working really really well with RBs. I used to have to look at 20 logs on each car and evaluate the duty cycle, over shoot, etc, and now it just pretty much works with perfect boost targeting out of the box first time. Done maybe 5 local cars with it and it's an absolute pleasure to dyno tune too.

    On VD, I find it mostly useless myself. The gold standard for Internet dyno posting and the only numbers that should be publicly discussed IMHO are dynojet numbers.

    That's good news on the ISO, definitely a leap from non-iso by the sounds of it.

    In terms of VD, I find it quite useful and very close actually given conditions and smoothing is set properly. Then again, its just another tool, just like a real dyno
