Breaking 400 on a Mustang dyno Tune, dps and E85 only

Well i remember someone once said something like "if youre not seeing 400whp you arent running a proper tune" And that was on Dynojets which read higher.

    Well heres my tune. 2008 335i E90 6AT JB4 G4 and raceland downpipes. E85 40% mix
NO METH, NO FMIC Tune and Dps only Total of 890 dollars into my car.

    Mustang Dyno.
    enjoy

That mustang dyno reads like a dynojet. Typical Mustang dyno should have your baseline no higher than 260 and thats FBO stock tune.

ive dynoed on 2 separate mustang dynos with E85 mix Map 0 27x/298 and 291/300 with dps
Not to mention a GTR with a custom AMS tune put down barely 500 here and other 335i's on map 7 have put 350/400. I dont think its the dynos

Mustang dynos CERTAINLY have the possibility of reading high... and from what you posted as your stock dyno this dyno does read higher than your typical mustang dyno...

Pretty sure they input your cars weight and that plays a roll in the numbers. Shops can play with #'s like that too...

low reading mustang dynos read 250-270 stock even with DP's

i specifically told them i did not want it reading high, before corrections it was closer to 415/465

either way you spin it id be WELL over 400 on a dyno jet

Your numbers are good buddy, we are just pointing out that your particular runs appear to be not of the normal "Mustang Dyno" character. Thats the reason the baseline is so important, to see the delta. One particular Mustang Dyno i have used in the past had another forum member at ~389whp, FBO, Meth + E50 on a Cobb protuned map, just to put things into perspective.

Honestly, dynos don't mean much. I have broken the 400RWHP number on MANY cars than ran anywhere from 11's-13's.

Show me the track numbers please.

PS: YES it is nice to get some good dyno #'s, but keep in mind the operator can make a HUGE difference my friends.

Good luck at the trackClick here to enlarge

Interesting, you are trimming out only on the top end which is weird to me since you are running a stock FMIC which means the IAT must be hot as hell there (less dense, less air). You should get a G5. Those numbers seem high for a mustang dyno, but I was seeing 410WHP using Virtual Dyno before I got the FMIC. Now I do 430whp consistently. So I believe those numbers... I think DPs might be my next mod (but the clutch is at its capacity limit as is).

im trimming out top also because its cooler outside here in the 60s i tuned it in the 80s. E85 and fuel trims vary so much with ambient air temps lol.. its all good i upped my open loop to 80 and they are back in check. When it warms up ill go back to 75. And yes i need an upgraded FMIC that will smooth my torque curve out as well as helpin top end trims Click here to enlarge And yes the numbers may be a tad high for a mustang but an added 117HP and 153Tq to the wheels is legendary for tune and Dps only.
