Tightie posted up those vids and some photos on on M3post back in May, but I have not heard anything since then. Anybody know what the hold up is or have an update?

Yes... but I don't want to give a competitive advantage to anyone.

The motor is great, the blower works great, the compression ratio is right, and the tuning is good.

Not sure what you mean by giving a competitive advantage to anyone. Are you referring to the dyno shootout you are putting together?

That's good hear, but the two month silence after the cars introduction causes speculation.

No, not referring to the dyno shootout referring to resolving issues that are inevitable with any low compression builds. Since others are attempting at the moment they can figure it out on their own.

There was no real introduction I would say. It was made known that it exists and that work was being done but the complete product is in the final stages of testing. Expect some concrete details and specs soon Click here to enlarge

Two months is nothing really fact is no one else had done it before and Gintani might want to spend alot of time on it to make it right. I mean Tightie drives his car like everyday I see him randomly all over the area we live in. I don't see what the rush is, it took how long for AA to release their kit? ESS claims 50k road miles before release so I don't see what the speculation is about lol.

I didn't realize that Tightie's car was a testing vehicle. I was under the impression that it had already been done on Alex's M3, but I could be wrong. I only get Gintani info from what gets posted on the forums.

They were done at the same time really. Which isnt a normal thing for Gintani but due to the timing of Josh's motor blowing cause of the G-power kit it kind of was a might as well get er done.

Tightie's motor was finished before Alex's I believe. Either way, there was some concurrent development going on.

I'm interested in all of the really fast, high horsepower E92 M3s. I like getting technical details because I enjoy installing turbos, superchargers, and building motors.

If I keep the car long enough I might even pull the motor and build my own low compression motor.

Once you try the VT-625 you will just want more, trust me. I was never overwhelmed with the power my car was making and I kept thinking, "I could use more than this, easily."

Maybe I'll be satisfied with my built low compression stroker motor, we will see Click here to enlarge

Glad to hear you are upgrading, when is this happening? I would like to see a build thread on your process especially if you are installing it yourself.

I'm just waiting for Roman to get the parts out to me. I just have to swap out the pulley and intake manifold, then add the pump, water tank, and intercooler which will probably take a day to install.

I would but I don't want to make you feel stupid with that "I would rather have a GTR" talk. The Stage 3 is going to piss all over 99% of the GTR's and 997 turbos out there.

Yep, that was a vid from a while back. That car is going to be done at around the same time Alex's is. They both are running very similar setups although Alex is pushing more boost, crazy boost.

Yeah but the same can be said about that 1% GTR's and 997TT's they piss all over 99% of all M3s

Read what you wrote again see if it makes sense

I am more interested to see if those 2 M3s can take on the 1% of those 997s and GTRs out there running 9.2s in the 1/4 mile

Nope, that is where my car comes in to combat that handful of top examples. I'm looking forward to seeing the AMS 1000 hp GTR completed and we will see what happens from there.

Makes sense to me. I don't know if you have ever been in a DCT supercharged M3 as the V8 gets to 8400 rpm, but it is a feeling like few others. These Stage 3's are really going to open people's eyes to the potential of the platform, as I have been saying for years.

SPE has a 1000WHP GTR completed and running 9.2s but anyways

I hope this doesn't end like Footie with the RS5...

you expect a lot from the M3 lets see if it delivers.

I probably missed that dyno or 9.2, I thought it was 9.6@149? If that is the trap with 1000 whp that is pretty weak for that power level, seems the AWD and heft is hurting the efficiency.

M3's already have put up big power numbers, no surprise for me, it seems like others just still don't get it.

I just read that GTR makes mid 800's on C16, not 1000 whp.
