I don't think Romney can win without Ohio or Florida, needs both

This is the most likely scenario, likely a bigger victory for Obama if he gets Florida as well which chances are he will:

This is what it would take for Romney to win. Even though the popular vote may go to Romney, the liberal states are too strong to stop. My gay ass state is a given for Obama as is New York. Problem is the populations in these states are too high with living costs being too high so all the people who can't afford to be there in the first place will vote for Obama and handouts as they always do.

It would have to be like this for Romney, not likely:

If Romney wins, it will be super tight. This whole winner takes the whole state thing and electoral college needs to end, ASAP.

I'm not betting. I just am presenting two scenarios. I really think Romney needs Florida AND Ohio.

electoral college is so $#@!ing ridiculous! The fact the popular vote doesn't win is $#@!ed. I really wanted to vote for a republican this time around but being from mass I hate Romney as does everyone else in this state for the most part. It would take a miracle for him to win.

Im from NY and im still voting for Romney. Like i said before its choosing the lesser of two evils. A lot of people cant afford to live on Long Island, its something like the 2nd most expensive place to live and property taxes are through the roof. If more people would work hard instead of trying to get freebies, we might be better off.

Our unions are way too powerful to stop. Im all for protecting FDNY, NYPD etc, they risk their lives to make it a better place for us. Union and pensions they can have, you cant put a value on life.

Things like the Long Island Railroad, Con Edison, LIPA, Keyspan, those unions are just bleeding the system dry. There is so much corporate waste and corruption that goes on that they have to hike the $#@! out of fares just to keep up with the pension payouts.

Its gettinv to the point where the middle class has no choice...you either starve to death under the increasing taxes, or you side with liberals and dems and get handouts and all sorts of perks just to make ends meet. Its almost like they are forcing you to do it, and create this huge socialist nation where everyone relies on the government for everything.

It's historically known that no Republican Pres. candidate has won the election without winning OH. Luckily Romney's been polling really well in FL (27 votes) & the Obama Campaign has completely abandoned NC (15 votes; another swing state).

The big states that are left (in order of Electoral Votes):
    • Pennsylvania - 20; while it has been leaning Dem, the race has been in the margin of error since the 2nd Presidential Debate. Pitt & Philly will both go blue, but depending on how the suburbs vote, it can be a Romney Win.
    • Ohio - 18; been a huge focus for both campaigns & like I said, no GOP Candidate has won the election without OH.
    • Virginia - 13; swing state. Used to be a GOP stronghold, went for Obama in '08 but will hopefully go Red this time around.
    • (Interesting) Maine - 4; Unlike the majority of state's, Maine's Electoral College votes are proportional. So in addition to possibly winning a GOP Senate Seat, Romney might be able to juice an Electoral Vote out of ME.

Since the 2002 midterm election, the Rasmussen Polls have successfully predicted the Presidential, Congressional & Gubernatorial Election results with the greatest accuracy. Here's the important information from today's posting:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 50% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 46%. Two percent (2%) prefers some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided.... In the Rasmussen Reports Electoral College projections, the president has 237 Electoral Votes and Romney 235. The magic number needed to win the White House is 270. Seven states with 66 Electoral College votes remain Toss-ups: Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio,Virginia and Wisconsin.

My thinking is some traditionally blue states that went red last time around won't do it again this time as Obama no longer has that promise of hope and change. It was a sham and hopefully people don't buy the same story for a second time.

Regardless, both are crap but I'm ready for something different. I just hope Romney doesn't start a war and add to the deficit. All I want him to do is cut the deficit and get rid of Bernake and I'm satisfied.

If Romney wins, he NEEDS to at least deliver on his fiscal/economic promises (more jobs, lower debt, cutting govt. spending, etc.).

If he pulls an Obama & campaigns on "Agenda A" but implements "Agenda B" once he's in Office, people will riot.

Massachusetts experienced Romney, why is he trailing by 30 points when he should have a home field advantage? 30 points is a lot, this means that there are a lot of Republican voters in the state who don't like the guy enough to vote for a Kenyan. As for specifics, Romney care, springfield schools, teacher salaries, etc.

Its gonna be tight thats for sure... Romney's first debate did wonders for him, almost like Obama threw it on purpose which we know aint the case. I think either could win or loose based on what they do this week and early next week.

Ohio is insanely important, either could win without it but the math is so improbable for that scenario. It will be interesting to watch this play out for sure...

Every other house in the hood here in my part of FL have Romney Paul signs posted. I don't have one because I haven't had a chance to get one. But I don't mind being that guy on my property....

However, some people here are idiots who put it on their cars too. One good one I saw was written in white on the back window, DemsForRomney. A good sign.
