I'll have to work my way to 6s. First test will be basically as it was run on the dyno with the seats out but baby seat in. My daily driver trim. Then based on that I'll figure out how much more aggressive it needs to be for that 6s run. I may need to finally switch to a lighter aftermarket exhaust, raise the boost up another psi up top, start running 100% E85, replace the turbo inlet hoses, remove more weight, etc. We'll see!

Have yours back together yet? What is it running these days on the aggressive Cobb tuning? Low 7s?

6AT single turbos are such fail.

Funny thing is I bet @Sikh335 single turbo is even slower than the 58mms due to its oversized turbo. Curious how Shiv didn't post anything from SIKH car. Click here to enlarge

I'm surprised none of them are posting 60-130 times or drag times? I mean you spend 10k on something you think you'd want to run out and enjoy it?

I think low to mid 7s is possible even for my full weight car.

They probably are out enjoying it. You don't have to go to a 1/4 track to enjoy a car. I've personally never seen a 1/4 track with my own eyes yet still enjoy the $#@! out of my car!

That being said, now that temps are starting to drop I'm sure we'll see more 1/4 times pop up.

    great info!

Also, JP, some people, didnt buy the 335 to mod so highly, they just wanted a sleek bimmer.. just as it was in my case. Just turns out a JB2 was a cheap and effective upgrade.. and then you get carried away again..

Promoted to front page with intro paragraph:

This comes to us from BimmerBoost sponsor Burger Tuning (BMS) who decided to put together a few dyno charts showing the difference between the stock N54 twin turbochargers maxed out, upgraded twin turbos, and the single turbo conversion. These all come from a E9X 335i with an automatic transmisison. As one would expect, the single turbo shifts the powerband to the right making for more peak horsepower but less torque through the entire curve and down low compared to the upgraded twins.

    More insight from Terry@BMS:

Good info here. It endorses what I originally thought, regardless of the where the power level peaks, the single turbo isn't for me.

RBs are an excellent match to the hilarious AT TCU shift points.

The comparison is skewed because single is at its best at proper revs at around 7k. Let's see dynos showing the results to 7300rpm for getting a complete picture. Yes, I drive manual.
