So what is the estimate for beta testers to receive their sets? I imagine they all have install lined up as soon as they arrive? Looking forward to everyone's review, but especially jpsimon's review since he had epl turbos to compare to.

Merged the two Stage II threads simply because people are complaining about following too many Vargas threads. May combine some more but for now this is fine.

Actually the old one had more stg2 specific info. The newer had generic turbo swap talk. Why not have a thread for turbo install parts separately and reserve this for stg2 info only?

I've done 3 turbo installs, one of which was on a 79k 07 335i, the oil lines were not needed. Save yourself the $200.

Don't forget some cheap insurance and replace the air inlet gaskets that meet the turbos. We already have a real world example of one falling apart and being eat by a turbo.

    For 335:
    13717568029 Rear Intake Tube gasket
    13712247398 Front Intake Tube gasket

shown here as # 2 and #10. Look up your car by production month to double check the numbers:

Indeed. Its cheap insurance to change the lines. You never know if they get crudded up. In all the sets I have done, 2 did have bad lines. Better to change them out then have an issue and have to pull turbos again.

Is $200 (Or $400 if you change the coolant lines as well) saved worth the headache of another $1000 bill and downtime for turbos to be overhauled when you wreck them?

I just started at Life Quality BMW btw, so that 13 sets installed on my own should jump up considerably Click here to enlarge

I'll most likely have my lines replaced when this gets done. I'm also having the dude replace my water pump as a precaution since they seem to be a problem part

I want to do it just as a precaution, don't want to have to go back in there later on just for that. That being said, i have no reason to believe mine are an issue as is... is it overkill to do them if there are no symptoms? $200 isn't much for peace of mind

Don't disagree but this is a thread for a competitor and he isn't allowed to post links as a guest let alone in a competitors thread to his site, period. What you did is absolutely fine.
