    the way the DMF's are constructed means they rattle, it's a 'mass' sprung inside another mass, the springs load and unload constantly when not under pressure of engagement
    There are many many people with silent DMF. I am one of them.

    but seriously.. Mine isn't always LOUD, but i think the volume increases when it gets older... 100,000km here, it's certainly not 'fresh' lol

    mine was completely silent at 44k miles.
    2011 335is DCT, JB4 + MHD BEF, stage 2 LPFP, e50 + 50/50 meth, DCI, 7" FMIC, MT ET Streets when needed
