On a side note, arent the E46 M3s holding the highest BMW HP numbers??!!! You have to bow for that for now.

Technically highest HP produced has been by an S85 just not in a BMW.

The S38's and S54's really dominate the high HP BMW's.

Go look up the m12/13 f1 motor. It makes 1500 hp outta a 1.5l, definitely the best hp/liter bmw. And a great man once said "M3 drivers have no friends."

Why would I need to go look it up?

Not a production or aftermarket motor though so not really a fair comparison.

So much hate. I clearly remember you drooling over that high compression sound at 8k rpms. I miss my m3 now Click here to enlarge

I really would like to make a tubular frame go-kart with this motor. Maintains light weight and compact. Deff a winner.

Now if I could only find 20" Diameter, 3/4" thick disc brakes.

You can just get a small turbo you don't have to go insane. Strong top end with good low end.

I wouldn't call the S54 gutless pretty good torque for a motor of that size.

Yea I know but compared to a chipped 335i its torque-less. That thing pulls like a truck. Honestly the stock e46 m3 is fast enough for me. Next one I get will probably get a supercharger until I can afford a turbo set up. Maybe Vargus will have a kit by that time :O

Not exactly a lot of HP/CI but a shop 25 minutes from my house build 2,000+HP NA V8s(mountain motors) and you can call them up and order one lol

Yep but they were never my competition. I mean these 500 wheel single turbo automatics should try to beat the stock internal blown M3's, which they won't.

Holy cow...actually that's a lot of hp/ci for NA, especially on a motor that big. They're revving it to 8k on the race version and 7k on the street version. That's amazing.

In the E9X scene? A league of my own. I hope to set some overall BMW records in the USA for street driven BMW's along with the overall E9X record obviously. I had the fastest there for around a year last time out. Also play with my Weistec supercharged CLK63 AMG Black Series friends who are about to break into the 9's and having already set the overall fastest Mercedes record. Things like that.

I really wish I could fit a larger blower like a procharger f1-x but we'll worry about going bigger once the YSI is maxed.

    Something like this:

The E9X record is what, 10.6@129? Time to raise the bar.

Yeah, a lot of guys think american V8s(especially big blocks) are low tech pieces of crap that can't rev over 5K but those engines are wonders of engineering IMO

Too bad some of their engines sticker for more than a brand new M3 lol

Couple of changes to the S1/S2 design, no price impact. No updates on the testing of S1/S2.
