REMATCH! GT35R Turbo S2000 Vs ME!!

Went out to try the Drag Radials last night..

I wasnt very successful in great improvements

S2000 Belongs to who is known as "Joey Balls"
My last outing with him became a small hit randomly found online by some honda guys. Turns out he was there again last night. Very cool guy, car looks sick too. Makes me contemplate building one of my own.

Its stock motor, GT35R @26 psi, boost by gear

Basically, I left MDM on, so apparantly, 60's wont get any better with MDM still on, but i did eliminate the high rpm 1-2 2-3 spinning

I tried DSC off completely, but I didnt do a great burnout, so it ended up being horrible

Damn. Pretty insane that car can go that quick on that stock little engine. Crazy and sick. It seems the drag radials did not make that much difference. That s2000 will never sound like your beast though Click here to enlarge

I love boosted s2k's. They're gorgeous cars and handle great. Even the motor is amazing 2.0 liter 260 hp stock is insane. 130 mph trap wow.

Hey bro, gotta' use launch control with DR's. Your short time will come down 01.-0.2 & your trap will go up.

he was afraid of breaking something, so 2nd gear boost is like 10 psi. He admits its not his best run, or that he is the best driver. They cant all be you Click here to enlarge

Hey, I'm actually the owner of the S2000. The weakest link on the car (any honda for that matter) is the diff & Transmission. I did put a 300zx diff to handle the launches, but I am still on stock tranny. If I try to power shift, it will lock me out of gear. The car also has a Clutch Delay valve, which also makes the shifting kinda mushy. I am actually surprised I havent blown 2nd gear yet. A lot of guys with 400HP strip 2nd gear mid pull, but yea I agree I am getting to the point where I am embarrassed to tell people I run 130mph and only have 11.6 to show for it, lol. I def need to work on shifting it better Click here to enlarge

As someone mentioned, this is by far the best sounding M3 I have ever heard!

S2000 has always been a potent car, that engine is the best honda has ever made.

The S2000 is very quick, props. Always liked them and the F20 motor.@LostMarine Why no bimmerboost intro? Ppl from the Honda world and BMW world will view this, good exposure. Good video of course and the 121 trap is nice, improving the setup slowly but steadily.

It was great, got 5 runs in, until of course someone hit a wall then I bounced, lol. I ran consistent 130mph traps with 1.7 60ft. if I could really hook up and cut like 1.5 I would be 10.8 or so and would be extremely happy.

As far as the cost, from what I can remember, I probably spent around 10k or so, maybe slightly less, or slightly more. I have a parts list with price, I will take a look.

I would say the best past about last night is lining up with these Chevy's with huge slicks, mustangs etc that look really really fast, but run high 11s, mostly because 1.4 60fts, lol. Some of the guys are great, others won't even talk to me because Im in a Honda, even though I wiped the floor with them, lol
