I liked the relative simplicity of the AR manifold, too... plus it was twin-scroll. I believe all they would have to do is weld in some O2 bungs and their manifold should work. They need to get another dev car. I think their lease was up or something LOL.

Honda motors get some very impressive work from companies. If they are top tier in that competitive market I'm sure they can design a good manifold then.

Im a little surprised you have never heard of Full-Race. They have some pretty insane project cars, also they are working with Ford on the Ecoboost engines ATM.

I don't think I've seen them posted on this site before probably because up until now BMW's have not been on their radar.

A little manifold porn for you Click here to enlarge This is their RB26 twin scroll T4.

They have manifolds for most JDM platforms. They were also involved in the development of the BW EFR turbos.

    http://www.full-race.com/articles/bo...fr-turbos.html

The N54/N55 projects got pushed to 2013 by the ecoboost project, it was started back in 2011 originally slated to finish in time for SEMA this year.

I emailed their head engineer last year when i bought my 335 to see if they would dable into an upgraded turbo kit. He mentioned they had been kicking the idea around, and he was contemplating buying an E46 M3 or a 335i for his personal toy and turbo kit development. Only issue is they have been covered up with the Ford Ecoboost project. As you can imagine, a contract like that is likely to pay the shop bills for a LONG TIME compared to selling single turbo kits for a 335i.

Hopefully they release their kit soon, but he did mention he has something sick up his sleeve, and Geoff is not one to dissapoint.

The coloration of that manifold reminds me of a coral snake. Beautiful creature sent by satan himself...

O___O SORRYYYYYY I'm just seeing this. They were in their third revision for the software last I heard, and.... ProEFI is moving shop locations, so everything is getting pushed until they settle in, looking good for a trip very soon though!

Maybe I need to drive up there and help them move? I've been in scottsdale every day this week, lol.

How much more work/revisions do they anticipate? Is the core functionality there?

    Good questions.

How far along and what else needs to be done?

I'm not too worried about the release. I just want to see ProEFI possible on our platform so I can get rid of this piggyback crap. No offense, they've served us well.

Not to mention, I want to see what the N54 can handle. Blow that $#@! up! Blowing the engine isn't a sign of poor tuning if you pop the block. We understand that is your intention from the get go and it makes me hard. woo!

EDIT: retract the hard part, however has ProEFI made any progress on their new unit you spoke of? Has it began development?

Same for me, i'm also interested for the supplementary PI for a solid solution to high-po fuelling, no messing around trying to rig the stock system up, more than anything.. much more reliable and simple.. Pump, lines, rail, njectors, bam.

if by the time i'm getting on the road with it all, i have no problem with jb4 or cobb of course, but proefi definitely seeems like it'll be the longterm solution

I'm very curious what this new ProEFI unit will run. Hopefully it will be supplementary to the DI and take over at a certain boost/rpm, trying to tune that out smoothly will probably take some time.
