    IND runs 11.97@119.5 with their basically stock (Eisenmann rear section exhaust) F10 M5 at the dragstrip - Timeslip

    IND-Distribution with this 1/4 mile pass has now finished their baseline testing on the new F10 M5 and will soon take it to the next level. They took their M5 to the Great Lakes Dragstrip and had Ivan from AMS Performance who has experience launching dual clutch cars take it down the strip. He managed a respectable 11.97@119.50 with what is basically a stock M5 featuring only an Eisenmann rear section exhaust that will not add all that much horsepower but certainly will give the F10 M5 the more aggressive exhaust note it desperately needs.

    The outside temps were not very high for the run but not exactly cold either holding in the 70 degree range making for a Density Altitude of 1144 feet. Basically, this points to the F10 M5 being a ~120 MPH car stock. Good, but somewhat disappointing considering the rear wheel horsepower it puts out. With drag radials in better weather the car is likely capable of a mid 11 second pass in the right hands.

    1.95 60' and he is viewed as a pro launching a DCT ? TERRIBLE !

    If I was driving that thing I am sure I could get it a 1.8* 60'

    96 mph in a 1/8 mile but with an ET 11.97 @ 119 mph tells me it was falling on its face after the 1/8 mile, or the driver was allowing the DME to shift for him or the driver just didn't know what he was doing. Sorry no offense to the dude but it doesn't seem he is total pro with DCT

    It weighs 4300 pounds. It is going to slow down up quite a bit. That ET and Trap is right inline with what we have seen from the F10 M5 on other drag strips, nothing out of line here.

    I didnt consider the weight, so you got a point. As for the 60' I still think with those size rear wheels on the M5 there is still alot to get out of them with DCT

    I don't know about this being disappointing, it's running 7mph faster than tuned 550's - seems pretty damn good to me...

    1.9 on street tires is about right and good. I don't think you would do any better.

    Ivan from ams holds basically every gtr record, 1/4 mile, standing mile, and 60-130!! the guy definitely has 1000's of passes down a 1/4 track under his belt, what ever the best way to shift the car i assure you he is doing it!! youtube omega gtr

    Somehow it doesn't seem that impressive but it's nice to see sub-12s out of the box. I drove the F10 M5 and while the engine is quite strong, the chassis is just too heavy to behave like a true sports car. I'm sure it's not the fault of the M engineers, but the designers of the F10 5-series which is just too heavy.

    Ivan is a great driver! This was his first time behind the wheel of the F10 M5 and launch control was not active.
