    The "damaging" Romney video

Personally, this made me actually kind of like him:

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the President no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what...These are people who pay no income tax ..."

"My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

I give him a big A+ for having the balls to speak the truth. If you pay no taxes, and want to live off the government, why would you vote for a republican?

Afterall, the Obamanation is already giving out to 47% of the population in food stamps.

That speach could be made in a number of countries around the world, and would aptly describe a portion of the population. I agree with his points....

i also happen to agree with some of his points though i happen to be a democrat, what i think is beyond dispicable is the mud slinging that our politics have been reduced to!! i mean really a spy cam in a private meeting that ends up on youtube?!?!? im the general manager of a dealership and there are meetings that i have that would be viewed as inappropriate to the wrong ears..

He says all of this about the people that are not paying taxes, but watch if he gets in there... He won't do a damn thing about the entitlement programs that they are dependent upon because he know he'll get voted out if he does it.

Everything he said IS true, but the liberal media is obviously going to spin the $#@! out of it. As far as the election goes:

    • Romney "admits" to immediately dismissing that 47% of voting block that's dependent on the govt., so that leaves 53%.
    • Let's say 46% is going to vote Republican (fair estimate looking at recent polls), that leaves your undecided 7%.
    • How that 7% reacts to these comments (respect him for honesty vs. think he's a rich dbag) & what happens in the next couple of weeks (debates, public appearances, the full story on the riots at US Embassies in the Middle East) is going to decide this election.

Between money secretly being siphoned off from Mediacare ($716 billion) and Student Loans (which can only be govt. issued loans from now on), the fact that true unemployment is closer to 11% (discouraged workers, underemployed, etc), and national debt, I don't understand how anyone who's not living on the govts. dime could want this guy reelected Click here to enlarge

It is odd though, that he says that while he pays lower taxes than most of the country....

Percentage wise he might be getting taxed less, he's prob paying some retarded amount of $$$$ when you actually look at the specific amount

    Oh he definitely is.

I just thought it was odd he would phrase it that way when he pays at the same rate as the lowest tax bracket.

I pray to God Romney wins this thing. Obama just wants to play the role of Robin Hood and take money out of my pocket to give it to the slugs that do not want to work. Obama keeps saying people like me need to "pay my fair share" and "give back to the community". I own a trucking company that employs over 75 people, I pay a large protion of those 75 employees healthcare benefits, I match 5% of their pay in a 401K plan, I pay for ongoing job training for many of my employees such as my diesel mechanics/technicians, I donate tens of thousands of dollars every year to local and national charities and not for profits from everything from sponsoring local youth baseball, football and cheerleading teams to full blow corporate sponsorship of cancer walks and events and militarty veteran organazations. I put over $2,000,000 back into the economy this year alone purcahsing new semi's, trailers and other equuipment for my fleet. I paid over $30,000 in property taxes for the homes I own. I paid over $150,000 in state and federal income taxes on a personal level not to mention the millions I pay in federal corporate taxes.....and Obama has the $#@!ing nerve to say I am not paying my fair share???? $#@! YOU OBAMA! How about I close the doors to my company, liquidate the company assests which are in the millions of dollars and hide the money off-shore. I could live comfortably for the rest of my life and put 75 people out of work in the process and have no more headaches. That is the real truth that business owners are faced with in this country every day and that view is still growing at an alarming rate. Obama and the socialist left wing are not smart enough to realize this. Obama is a "community organizer" he has no clue about the real world or business they are too arrogant to realize the business owners are MUCH smarter than them and are always one step ahead of them. Keep pushing us Obama! Romney is a business man and he understands this, if Romeny gets elected we will see a spike in the economy within a couple months, if Obama gets elected the economy will worsen because people like me will be to scared to re-invest in our companies or risk hiring new people, we will want to hold onto every penny we have to make sure we can ride out another 4 years of his socialist lunacy.

If were true I would see the point its rather off base... I get the point he should have made which is the Dems have a core base as do the GOP that vote the partyline no matter what. He needs to articulate that point with better detail, more accuracy and then maybe it gets traction.

Jim, me and you have disagreed MANY times, but I think we have finally found a common thread. Although you are right about closing up and screwing the system, you won't. WHY, because you actually care. Like most business owners you take pride, and the Obamanation does not.

Good luck with the business, good luck with the car, and get the obamanation out of office so America can survive.

While I agree with you and Jim here...I'd certainly like to see Obama out of office. But, I don't think Romney is a suitable candidate and he is going to get his ass handed to him in the Presidential debates.

I disagree, I think Romney will beat Obama by having better policy, a better platform & credible data that illustrates the Obama Administration has only made things worse, but Barack Obama has an ace in the hole: a blind, cult following that will vote for him no matter how much he $#@!s up this country.

The 2 biggest problems with Romney are:
    1. Effective communication with the voter electorate
    2. He's not the voting blocks' #1 choice (we all wanted someone else)

Obama Admin has made things worse ?? You need to check you facts. Positive job creation every month:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/15/bu...edecessor.html

Almost all TARP funds have been recovered and were actually making money for the taxpayer with AIG; save the US auto industry, signed the CARD act, $15 bil plan to encourage lending to small businesses, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, saved at least 300,000 education jobs, such as teachers, principals, librarians, and counselors that would have otherwise been lost; Wall St reforms and consumer protection. The list goes on and on but I won't bore you with facts. I get so tired of hearing how $#@!ty things are right now from people who don't bother to do a little research and understand just how much WORSE things could be if Obama had not been elected. Whether you like him or not, his policies HAVE helped greatly. The amount of wealth the US lost in a matter of months will probably take 15 years to regain. Fixing one of the worst economic downturns in our history doesn't happen in one term.

We'll just have to wait and see the debates where effective communication with the voters is most important.

    Since Obama has taken Office:
-Just under 5.5 Trillion Dollars have been added to the National Debt (bringing it to just over $16 trillion)
-Unemployment has officially been over 8% for 43 months in a row
-Unemployment has "dropped" to 8.1%, but this only because the amount of people seeking employment has decreased (discouraged workers)
-Real Unemployment is closer to 11%. If the labor participation rate was the same as when Obama took office, unemployment is 11.2%. If we use a 30 year average of 65.8% labor participation, unemployment goes up to 11.7%.
-Manufacturing lost 15,000 for the month of August, due primarily to auto manufacturers who both laid off and recalled fewer workers this summer
-GM still owes 2/3 of the money borrowed ($30 billion of the $50 loaned)
-58% of the jobs created have been low-income jobs (earning less than $14 an hr)
-Currently 77% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck
-Employment numbers for June & July were downgraded a combined 41,000 jobs after they were initially released

So yes, you're boring inaccurate facts did bore me. Meanwhile, my facts that strictly highlight was has occurred & can be directly associated with the Obama Administration's policies, illustrate how badly this president has failed me.

And do us all a favor, you (a liberal I presume) citing the NY Times is like me (a conservative) citing Fox News -- it's a fallback source because you have nothing left. What's even more humorous about your NYT article is that it blames Bush, but I'll let you in on a secret, GW isn't running for President Click here to enlarge So I really don't give 2 flying $#@!s what happened under his administration & if Obama wasn't prepared to inherit whatever GW left, he shouldn't of pursued the job (EVERY president inherits their predecessors mess, it comes with the job).

Right now the only 2 people on the ticket are named Obama & Romney, and if we look at both of their records (one who has been President the past 4 years & has nearly destroyed the US economy & international reputation, the other a former Governor of a liberal state where he balanced a budget without raising taxes), I'll take my chances with the "new guy".

I'm still waiting on Romney and his specifics on what he wants and plans to do... As for Romney's 47% he really should do some checking as 18% of those he mentions are the elderly, people making under $20K annually and 1% are Millionaires who pay nothing. Roughly 53% of Americans pay income tax. The issue here is cleaning up the tax code and getting rid of some the garbage in there.

I find it amusing that some want to blame Obama for blaming Bush who is factually responsible for a large chunk of this mess we are in. My bigger amusement was that folks expect some sort of miracle not one person on either side of the isle has a magic wand to make this $#@! go away. Bigger still if they think they do they damn sure are not working together to make it happen. The real $#@!s are us and the idiots we elected to the two houses to govern. The President (whoever it may be) gets stuck with their collective BS. You cant acknowledge that you think Obama is weak and not acknowledge Bush and the $#@! storm he created. If you're acknowledging those two then one needs to recognize our houses and their collective inability to do something simple like compromise. I could genuinely give a $#@! what party you like or dont like when neither side is governing effectively. I see the GOP as the worse of the two since they just keep saying no to $#@!, find a compromise. Nobody gets everything they want every time they want it. I think Romney is useless I think Obama is stiffled by the houses and I think once this is all over the majorities in the houses will shift. Thus starting this $#@! all over again as has been the case historically. Find me some folks who can compromise and find a path and that will impress the hell out of me.

But I go back to my point here and its simple. Romney needs to get damn specific, folks want and should hear what he plans to do on all fronts. He hasnt done that and anyone claiming he has prior to THIS week took the Red Pill. Rant over... I'll say nothing else now.
    We stay swingin...
