    Question: JB4 18ohm E85

    Hey guys,

Quick question. I have a JB4 with the 18ohm board, and I am wondering if that is leaving power on the table running a mix of E85 on map 5. In the JB4 sticky, I believe that map 5 is setup to hit a max boost of 17psi, which is the limit of the 18ohm board? Does that mean only meth users would benefit from the 15ohm board? I'm just a little confused and would appreciate some clarification. Only other mod I have is DCI but I plan on going FBO soon. Thanks

No way to know without a log. But generally speaking yes you are leaving some power on the table.

Correct me if im wrong anyone but one of the easier ways to find out if if you need a 15 ohm is by logging field FFMAX (wastegate adaption value)...The range is 0-130...So, if your at 130 thats max value and you would be a good candidate for 15 ohms upgrade...

Terry hooked me up and upgraded mine to 15 ohm...or you can do it yourself...make a decision Click here to enlarge
