Ok so here are the results from Week 1
Dallas Cowboys 24 vs New Your Giants 17
Indinapolis Colts 21 Vs. Chicago Bears 41
Philadelphia Eagles 17 vs. Cleveland Browns 16
St Louis Rams 23 vs. Detroit Lions 27
Miami Dolphins 10 vs. Houston Texans 30
Atlanta Falcons 40 vs. Kansas City Chiefs 24
Jacksonville Jaguars 23 vs, Minnesota Vikings 26
Washington Redskins 40 vs. New Orleans Saints 32
Buffalo Bills 28 vs. New Yourk Jets 48
New England Paitrots 34 vs. Tennesee Titans 13
Seattle Seahawks 16 vs. Arizona Cardinals 20
San Fransicso 49ers 30 vs. Green Bay Packers 22
Carolina Panthers 10 vs. Tampa Bay Bucaneers 16
Pittsburgh Steelers 19 vs. Denver Broncos 31
Cincinatti Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens- Monday Night
San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders- Mondahy Night

    Top Highlights:

    - RGIII lights up the Super Dome:
Start with the game plan for Griffin: movement passes (sprint, boot), play action, designed runs (Zone Read), etc. A really smart (and creative) call sheet from the Redskins that catered to RGIII’s skill setand allowed him to make plays in and out of the pocket. 320-yards, 2 TDs and 42-yards rushing in Griffin’s first start as a pro. Those are big numbers for the rookie in the 40-32 win over the Saints.

    - Manning’s control of the offense: Peyton Manning (19-26-253-2TDs) can still dictate the flow of the game. That’s what you should take from the Broncos win over the Steelers on Sunday night in Denver. The no-huddle system, the checks at the line of scrimmage and the ability to methodically work over the secondary. And he did it vs. one of the top defensive units in the league.

    - The 49ers’ physical brand of football: QB Alex Smith (20-26-211-2TD) deserves some real credit for how he played today at Lambeau in the 49ers’ 30-22 win over the Packers. But when I look at this game, the physical style of the Niners stands out. I love the way this San Fran secondary plays. They hit, fill in the run game and tackle. And you can add in Frank Gore (16-112-1TD), the D-Line, etc. They were a more physical team than Green Bay on Sunday.

    - Cutler to Marshall: The Bears had the 3-step slant and the back-shoulder fade all day vs. the Colts because of Marshall. Look at his size, his strength at the line of scrimmage and his ability to create leverage within the route stem. See press on the outside? Check to the fade. And we should expect to see similar production from Marshall (9-119-1 TD) moving forward because this is where the ball is going in the Bears’ offense with Jay Cutler (21-35-333-2TD-1INT) at QB.
Jets, Sanchez run it up on the Bills: New York scored in all three phases of the game (offense, defense, special teams). But the story today is QB Mark Sanchez and the offense. The Jets got production out of Shonn Greene on the ground (27-94-1TD) and Sanchez tossed 3 TD passes. Forget the Wildcat or Tim Tebow aligning as a WR in the slot, etc. That will be a non-story if Sanchez can play solid football, make good decisions and take calculated shots down the field. Now let's see the Jets' QB do it consistently.

    - A.P. continues to impress in his recovery: At the beginning of last week I didn’t think the Vikings would dress Peterson let alone give him 17 carries during the OT win over the Jags. However, this is exactly what continues to impress me about the Vikings’ RB after blowing out his knee in December and going through the rehab process. Getting back on the field after a knee injury is tough for any skill player, but with A.P. (17-84-2TDs) we are looking at a unique situation here

    - Stafford’s winning TD pass: Four verticals off of run action with counter protection (guard pull) vs. the Rams’ Cover 2. But why was Kevin Smith able to walk in the end zone as a “check down” option for Stafford? In Cover 2 (or “Red” 2), the CB will sink with No.1. However, the CB here sinks with too much depth (almost in a “trail position” vs. Calvin Johnson) and vacates the flat. That’s not a scheme issue. Cover 2 is a good call in this situation, but you have to play the technique of the defense to see results.

    - Schiano’s Bucs: After reading all of the reports on Schiano’s physical training camp this August, is anyone surprised to see the Bucs win up front and limit the Panthers’ run game? I don’t really know what one week tells us about a team in the NFL, but that’s the start Tampa needed after seeing this club play soft and pack it in last season under Raheem Morris.

    - Seattle had a chance to win this game and I love the play call on the goal line: Smash-7 (corner) vs. Cover 0 (man coverage with no safety help). Work the slot WR to the corner with the No.1 on the underneath smash route. This is smart football vs. pressure—but you have to finish the play. Can’t have a drop from Braylon Edwards in that situation.

This season is going to be very interesting. You can't expect a score from any team. A lot of players have transferred as free agents and a lot of interesting rookies. Let's gear up and see what happens. Click here to enlarge

Sorry for not updating For Monday Night. I have been loaded with work.

Cincinatti Bengals 13 Vs. Baltimore Ravens 44
Sand Diego Chargers 22 Vs. Oakland Raiders 14

The Baltimore Ravens looked every bit the part of an AFC favorite Monday night, lighting up the rival Cincinnati Bengals in an impressive 44-13 route. Flacco (21 of 29, 299 yards, two TDs) got away with a couple of suspect throws, but he also was completely locked in for extended stretches. If Flacco can move to the next level, the Ravens are going to be very difficult to beat.

General football truth: If you combine rudderless offense with abominable special teams, your fans aren't going to go home happy. The Oakland Raiders proved as much in a troubling 22-14 loss to the San Diego Chargers on "Monday Night Football." The Raiders ' passing game completely was inept. Carson Palmer rarely looked downfield, allowing the Chargers ' defense to stack the line of scrimmage without fear of consequence. Palmer was without Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford , but he did nothing to alleviate fears he's not the guy in Oakland.

    Week 2 Update:

    Bears 10 vs Packers 23
    Raiders 13 vs Dolphins 35
    Texans 7 vs Jaguars 27
    Chiefs 17 vs Bills 35
    Browns 27 vs Bengals 34
    Vikings 20 vs Colts 23
    Ravens 23 vs Eagles 24
    Saints 27 vs Panthers 35
    Cardinals 20 vs patriots 18
    Bucaneers 34 vs Giants 41
    Cowboys 7 vs Seahawks 27
    Titans 10 vs Chargers 38
    Redskins 28 vs Rams 31
    Jets 10 vs Steelers 27
    Lions 19 vs 49ers 27
    Broncos 21 vs Falcons 27

    Highlights:

The New York Giants gained 604 yards of total offense – the second-most in team history (609, 12/3/1950) – in the team’s 41-34 come-from-behind victory over Tampa Bay.

The Giants are the second team in NFL history – 1951 Los Angeles Rams – to have a 500-yard passer and two 150-yard receivers in the same game.
Quarterback Eli Manning passed for 510 yards – the second-most in team history (Phil Simms, 513, 10/13/85) – and wide receivers Hakeem Nicks (199 yards) and Victor Cruz (179) both went over the 150-yard mark.
On September 28, 1951, three Pro Football Hall of Famers accomplished the feat for the Rams. Norm Van Brocklin passed for an NFL-record 554 yards and Elroy “Crazylegs” Hirsh (173 yards) and Tom Fears (162) each had 150 receiving yards.
Nicks had 10 catches for 199 yards with a touchdown and Cruz had 11 receptions for 179 yards with a score in the Giants’ 41-34 win. The Giants are the first team in NFL history with two receivers with at least 10 catches and 175 yards in the same game.
The Arizona Cadinals defeated the New England Patriots 20-18. The Cardinals are the first team to beat the Patriots in a home opener at Gillette Stadium, which opened in 2002. Entering today, New England had never lost a home opener at Gillette Stadium (10-0) and had the league’s longest active such streak.
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Baltimore Ravens 24-23 as quarterback Michael Vick rushed for the game-winning touchdown with less than two minutes remaining. The Eagles are the first team in NFL history to win each of its first two games of the season by one point. Philadelphia recorded a 17-16 win in Week 1 at Cleveland.
Buffalo running back C.J, Spiller rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns in the Bills’ 35-17 win over Kansas City. This season, Spiller has rushed for 292 yards on 29 attempts and is averaging 10.1 yards per carry. He is the first player to average at least 10.0 yards per carry through his team’s first two games of a season (minimum 25 attempts) since Pro Football Hall of Famer JIM BROWN in 1963 (35 carries for 394 yards; 11.3 average).
Carolina quarterback Cam Newton passed for 253 yards with a 129.2 passer rating and rushed for 71 yards with a touchdown in the Panthers’ 35-27 win over New Orleans. Newton is the second player in NFL history with at least 250 passing yards with a 125+ passer rating and at least 70 rushing yards with a TD in a single game (Michael Vick, 11/15/10).
Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Leonard Hankerson in the Redskins’ 31-28 loss at St. Louis. Griffin, who had an 88-yard touchdown pass in Week 1, is the first rookie to throw a 65+ yard TD pass in each of his team’s first two games of a season since Greg Cook of Cincinnati in 1969.

    Monday Night Football:
ATLANTA -- Matt Ryan threw his 100th career touchdown pass, Roddy White had 102 yards receiving and the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Denver Broncos and error-prone quarterback Peyton Manning 27-21 on Monday night.

The Falcons (2-0) took advantage of three interceptions by Manning in the first quarter and raced to a 20-0 lead. Manning brought the Broncos (1-1) back with two fourth-quarter scoring drives, but it wasn't enough to make up for his awful start.

The only other time he's been intercepted three times in the opening quarter was with the Colts in a 2007 game at San Diego.

Ryan was much more efficient, completing 24 of 36 for 219 yards. He hooked up with Tony Gonzalez for a 1-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, then went to White on a 4-yard score in the third period.

Not sure what happened to Peyton Manning in the MNF game. 1st quarter was ugly.

Tell me about it man. Though he woke up in the fourth quarter. Lets just hope he takes that wake up call when the Broncos play Houston next week.

I think the Falcons defense was simply amazing. It was confusing to watch and clearly confused the hell out of Peyton. Looked like an advanced defense the rest of the league better catch up to.
