    What color powder coated wheels?

Well, I bought a set of avant garde 310s with M3 fitment from a friend of mine. ill be putting them on my alpine white e90 335i. My summer setup are 19 inch ICONZ 960s so I want to have a little fun with the 310s that Ill use for winter use. So this morning I dropped them off at the powder coater. I wanted to do something a bit different so as of now, I choose candy blue. But Im going to attach a few other colors I liked. Please give advice on what color everyone likes. I know this is not everyones cup of tea, just having a bit of fun since I only paid $300 for the wheels.

None of the above.. Why rice out a M, do something subtle like a flat white or gun metal gray IMO. If you really insist on being different who not try a flat army green color, thats different while not being loud as fugg

Thats what I was worried about, ricing out my 335i. I currently have my summer 19 inch ICONZ on. My stock wheels were painted black by the previous owner which I dont really like. And I got these 310s cheap so I just wanted to do something different. I had a feeling it may be a bit rice, but when I see pics of e90s with crazy looking wheels sometimes I like it.

I do like the blue. DO you mean the candy blue or one of the flat blues?

Hey Eric, I totally forgot to even find out about that. How would I even find out if they can be powder coated? I guess I was assuming they could be.

Contact Avant Garde directly. Last thing you want to do is get these wheels done & when they go to bake the powder coating on, the wheels crack from the heat

I actually just emailed Avant Garde to ask them. Does this happen often where you cant powder coat wheels? The friend I bought them from just had his iforged essens powder coated at the same place, but I guess thats a different wheel all together.

That was my first choice. I think I may just stick with the candy blue. I know some people dont like the idea of these color wheels, but I just like the idea of something different for a few months.

Different wheels, different composition, different "reaction" to get powder coated after productions finished. Last thing you want to do is compromise the structural rigidity of the wheel

Yes your right. I hope they can be powder coated as they are already at the shop lol. But I sent an email to avant garde so Im sure they will get back to me this week. And I finally found someone willing to roll my fenders. AK Motorwerk in NJ. They are great guys. I was able to get in for their group buy for intake valve cleaning. By the way, the boost leak is back.....

A few days ago. I was out having a bit of fun and was getting on it high in the RPMs, all of the sudden there goes the yellow half engine light and P3OFF code. I cant win lol. I have an appointment this wednesday at AK Motorwerk to have my rear fenders rolled and Alex said they would take another look for the boost leak. Just not sure what else can be done being the smoke test didnt reveal a leak. Hopefully they find something and solve it.

Yes I have been using the Akuma Pro tune map since I got it. I switched it once to a revision John made. But went back to the original when the meth was working properly.

I like the candy blue too. Looks pretty cool and I think it would look good on my alpine white car.

I think there's something wrong with your map john.... As for wheel colors (since we've gotten a little side tracked), they only comes in these colors (matte or polished finish)
    Attachment 20761

Most "out there" I'd get is a thin red or yellow lip highlight (like this)

Maybe Ill load up the other map John made me and try it out. How could the map cause the boost leak issues though? As far as the wheel colors go Im making myself nuts making a decision.

Oh ok. Huh, well Im not even going to try getting anything else out of Akuma. I asked for another map weeks ago and I just get ignored. I still havent got the new center cap from them yet either. The actually center cap is still in my wheel, but the "ICONZ" logo came off. it must have been glued on the cap or something. But it came off while there and they said theyd replace it. But nah, that hasnt happened. Its just getting thrown under the rug.
