Just read this on a mustang forum, pretty funny!

"You can build up the the best long block with the best parts and have it put together by the best builder. If you install it and have Jon Doe of Backyard Tuning calibrate the thing you are setting yourself up for failure."

Motors that have popped were well over 800rwhp before popping... General opinions say 700rwhp is safe max on a stock motor though more than a few are beyond that.

Make sure its a Brembo equipped car with 3.73 gears... Once you feel the tq and RPM range of that car you will love it. Its a big car but agile, I'll await your results/opinion since you have a worked 335 now

Any supercharged 5.0 or turbo 5.0 goes with 3.31s as the 3.73 are impossible to hook up with 600-700 whp. Keep in mind I'm a 3.31 car and my 3-4 is at 100. 4-5 is at 128ish. A 3.73 car needs 5th before 115 lol, that is useless.

I see your point I like the BBK cars and 3.73 for the average bolt on person thats gonna work just fine. I do prefer 3.55 gears with boost... My 95 GTS ran 3.3 gears with Heads, Cam, Intake and blower the gears were a handful I have to admit.

I shall keep you updated! If I'm going for about 600whp, what gears are reccomended? Also, why WOULDN'T you get the brembos?

The crazy thing is i was never a mustang fan. Then I drove a students at mosport and at the Glen. WOW! They turn now! and well lol. I have been considering a GT500 for sometime now or even a 5.0 to build as a weekend track toy if i decide to sell my 335is. We spend thousands to get CLOSE to what they do with a couple thousand lol.
