    Questions on installation of gauges

    Hi,

I am in the process of installing some additional gauges in my E92 M3 and have the following questions:

    1. Where is the best place to tap into the oil system for a standard oil pressure sensor?
    2. Where is the best place to tap into the fuel system for a fuel pressure sensor (I want to monitor the high pressure side)?
    3. Where is the best place to tap into the cooling system for a standard water temperature sensor?

Pictures would be appreciated as well.

    Thanks in advance.

Excellent questions and I would like to know as well. If no one knows I'll ask one of the shops that works with me to get an answer for you.

    1. A distribution block will need to be used for an oil feed for the sending unit, which will also retain the stock oil pressure sending unit. I'm currently using one on our e92 M3
    2. Not 100% sure, as not many people would be monitoring FP unless looking into forced induction
    3. Macht Schnell offers a gauge boss that installs inline of your upper radiator hose - permitting a 1/8" NPT fitting for the H2O sending unit:
