So basically this amounts to them recording and detailing our every move. Basically what we already knew.

yes, but very detailed, not just being watched, but being able to locate and track individuals, on a individual basis

Let's be happy they haven't invented mind control yet. I'm sure they are getting close.

There is actually already a system that projects targeted stimuli on say all the video screens in an airport, and then checks biometrics of people in the area to see who responded. Not mind control per say, but you have no control over your response (change in pulse, body temp, breathing, perspiration, etc.) It will allow the observer to basically know what people in the area are thinking (at least when it coincides with the stimuli). So flash images of bombs, religious war, child porn...whatever you want to see who will react to. Crazy $#@!.
Never thought I would see the day...

It's tracking individual movements in public spaces, where we have no expectation of privacy. They can track all they want - it's when they haul you in for questioning simply because you visited the AT&T building a certain number of times that went over a threshold that would concern me. Maybe I like the building. Maybe the bums hanging around outside are interesting.

I definitely do not like this at all, but there's technically nothing here that invades my rights until they attempt to use this data against me if all of my recorded actions are legal. Unfortunately, we all know that this will be abused and it will become another way for the man to make us subjects.

I think the really crazy part is they could flash some subliminal image of say jihadist propaganda and then detain you simply because your vitals spiked. Guess we better hope they really know what they are doing.

"if you're not a jihadist, you have nothing to worry about."

We are seeing the continuation of the establishment of thought crimes.

Comforting....but what if SGT Joe Smuckateli is diddy bobbing through the airport one month after returning from tour and is still pretty shaken up, can the really tell the difference?

My quote about to being worried was sarcastic. I'm sure they will spend millions on programs so they think they can tell the difference.

If I visualize a nuclear explosion over Manhattan, does it mean I intend to do it? Or was I thinking of a cool special effect for the next Spiderman movie? If I imagine taking a supermodel to bed is it considered rape if she wouldn't consent?

ah gotcha...yea i mean i'm sure with enough testing they can tell the difference most of the time...but what about the one guy with off vitals or a wierd sense of humor or something that shows the same response. Reminds me of Minority Report.
