Question Hypothetical question regarding RBs and stock parts

So I was just wondering, can you RBs with a stock FMIC and DPs or is that a disaster waiting to happen? If so, what do you think the numbers would be on 93 octane with a stock tune and custom tune?

The only reason I was thinking about this was that some of those with warranties could theoretically not raise any eyebrows at the stealership with RBs. Then again, I don't know if the stock diverter valve could hold the PSI on a tune.

Forgive my ignorance with this as I'm trying to learn. Been stuck in the E90Boast world for too long.

its physcially possible, but very not suggested as you would be hurting as much as your helping without the supporting mods. Thats why they are called "supporting" Click here to enlarge

Sure you can get away with it at moderate boost levels. Downpipes are recommended though because backpressure becomes an issue even fully catless.

    RB's plus 1M downpipes = dealer sleeper.

If it really came down to it the dealer would find the RB's. So it's a sleeper for moderate issues but if it's something serious you will need to go back to stock or bite the bullet.

Higher flow may be a more accurate way to put it.

Unless they removed the turbos and measured the inducer/exducer they would have no idea.

I just think it would be interesting to run a "dealer sleeper" given the cost of even basic maintenance on these vehicles.

Option A) You run RBs, plus a no cutting required FMIC, a tune, DCI (or something) and a BMW Performance Exhaust
Option B) Just RBs and a tune (would be interesting to know the numbers of such a thing
Option C) Dinan parts ($$$) and some RBs.

I don't know, just thinking aloud. Some of the 2010 guys are IS guys still have a fair amount of warranty left with the trigger finger getting itchy.
