    JB4 G5 Dyno Day Results

Went to a dyno day at Carma Performance in Nashville, TN Sunday. They had a dyno day today using their dyno dynamics dyno and had a bikini car wash and free food and drinks. Overall an amazing day! This dyno has been nicknamed the heartbreaker because it reads very low. It was 88 degrees out today. Mods are in my sig. I was running 25/75 e85/93 with 90/10 meth. I was running a 70 add on the jb4 which is 19.5 peak. The great thing about the g5 board is that boost does not taper as much as the g4 or other tunes. I was holding 17 to redline. I put down 406rwhp/480tq. I would say this is close to 450/530 on a dynojet. Baseline was 257/283 The last time I dynod on this dyno I put down 355/385 then went to a dynojet and put down 407/455. All I those previous dynos were on the 18ohm jb4 and 93 oct, no e85. I will head to another dynojet soon and shoot for the stock turbo record. It really is. Its SO fast. I'm selling my 19" Miros trying to buy something more lightweight with better tires. Should have my 2step hooked up soon. Can't wait to get it to the track after that.

Did you just buy the wheels? I was looking at a set on the other forum that were really cheap. I guess if you bought the ones I was looking at I'll prob go with apex arc 8s with nitto nt555 fronts and nt555r rears.

You should be really happy with that... nice numbers.

Not going to be 450 on a dynojet from your baseline. Likely in the 42X range. Put it on one Click here to enlarge

Well there was a delta of 110HP/148TQ on the last dynojet I attached. Using that data, I can safely assume that with a 149HP/197TQ delta on the latest dyno dynamics that my dynojet should be around 445HP/503TQ right now. I'm gonna bring some 102 oct race gas along with me to the dynojet and hope that I can go as close to 100% race gas as possible, turn the boost up another .5lb and shoot for the record.

Cool thanks man...solid numbers indeed. I can tell you that my car on a local dynojet bone stock on stock boost did 262whp and all out back in the day on procede with meth and pump (no race gas) did 402whp peak. That largely changed with the addition of RBs, race gas and meth though with as much as I think 140-160whp more on RBs near redline and an 85-90whp peak difference back then in March 2011 with Shiv up here turning it up and AFRs leaning out.

Good luck with nitrous, just don't get greedy with it Click here to enlarge

If you don't mind clarifying, is the first 257hp dyno on a completely stock N54? Thanks!
