I have one question, why are they running the car with those far slower cars on the track? Shouldn't that HPF car be in a much higher class? Do they not have any drivers qualified for the higher group? I'd like to see this car pushed coming out of the turns, not just opened up on the straights.

I will always be a fan of HPF power, it is unrivaled by any other F/I company for the E46 M3.. but I still think it is simply TOO MUCH power with to abrupt of a power curve to make a good track car power plant. There is no way you could open this car up coming out of a tight turn..

Yes, and the right camber/caster/toe settings and maybe some extra degrees before steering locks. (I forgot the technical term for it)

This car with a RaceLogic traction control system or something similar should be able to pull nicely on corner exit regardless of power. Tire selection is critical of course.

With the racelogic and widebody it should be able to do some good road course work.

I believe the whole reason it is a Stage 3 turbo and not Stage 4 is for better road course response.

Honestly, that's a pretty weak showing.
    1) why was he only out for 8 minutes? I've never been anywhere with run groups shorter than 20 min, most are 25-30 min. Why no full session?
    2) PCA intermediate group? really? Half those cars out there still have instructors in them. Do they not have any better drivers at HPF than that?

Point of comparison, here is a full, half hour session at VIR in PCA's advanced group with some real cars out there (track prepped 997 GT3 RSs, etc) against my full weight, stock power e46 m3:

(sped up the video back when I uploaded it because nobody wants to watch a half hour session in real time)

Guys, Chris has already stated that he JUST started driving road courses. Where you fast on your first few trips out Obi? He is learning and imo learning on that HPF car isn't the best way to start, so it will take a while to get it down and be faster.

It wasn't supposed to be some top showing of driver skill he readily admits his driving level and just shared the video of the car in action.

    M3forum.crap

He actually doesn't like cars that make power and calls them crap. He has no reason to be here as he does not like F/I. As the reason why he is only here to hate.

Ahhh a human of hate. Those are an odd bunch of humans those who hate. 1 day the hate inside will eat the soul, and will lose their reflection when looking into a mirror.

What about the track time? If you are trying to make a point about HPF car ability to sustain on the track there are other vids proving it.

You always confuse me not liking your car with me not liking all cars Click here to enlarge

My dislikes are very simple: I don't like cars that have been modded to the point where they can't be used as transport. If I can't enjoy driving it every day, aka if it forced me to daily an SUV (range rover, etc), I think it's ruined.

I would never daily drive a performance vehicle sorry. I drove it the last 2 days and it was fun but sometimes i dont want fun. For me a daily driver is complete comfort and reliability. Range Rover is perfect for me. I dont need to drive a track car (or super stiff car) on the streets everyday, and actually its more of a luxury that i dont need to. I dont need your negative hating remarks, nor does anyone else. You are here to hate, simple as that. This thread proved yet another reason why you are a POS. So GTFO.

Interesting perspective taza. Forgetting the drama you have between this guy, I'm interested in your thoughts. I feel differently however, I feel like daily driving a performance car is fun. On the level your car is at, I can see your situation and agree with what you do, but on my level (around 400wheel going soon up with ASR) daily driving my car is completely possible and fun and not bad lol. I even have coils and a stiffer set up with sways and a strut yet its still manageable. Maybe your car is even stiffer and lower, better for the track, surely in horsepower, but I feel as though it would be fun to drive something everyday, especially a BMW, and for you, the best, an M Click here to enlarge.
Sorry for the rant, I guess to sum up my question is what level of horsepower, or track-readiness? do you think is too much for a daily driver? Do you honestly believe anything worthy with more than the BPU's is not daily drivable anymore?
