Customer has a higher expectation than he should, the owner over promises to gain the customer or doesn't fully consider the customers situation (is the car a daily driver etc..) . Both parties become irritated with each other and problems occur. Customer.. I'm sick of dealing with this jerk I just want my car and money back.. There are always two sides to every story.. but the majority of the time it is not a lack of talent or skill.. simply two people who did not connect..

Absolutely, there are two sides and people should also keep in mind that if someone feels slighted they tend to scream a bit louder and more frequently than those who are happy.

None of us know the situation other than the he said, she said by both parties.. but based on what has been written, it seemed like both parties were mutually unhappy and wanted out of each others hair.. Did you give the shop an opportunity to correct the problems or did you come straight to the message boards and complain? Complaining publicly about a shop doesn't resolve issues, it tends to simply make them worse. There are better ways to resolve a situation, civil court comes to mind. I've never had a dispute with a Company go to court.. simply making the initial filing was enough to settle. However, I have rarely had to do this, I'm usually quite assertive as to my needs and what I expect before a shop preforms work.

On another note, the shop should never have gotten involved with the debate publicly. That only makes matters worse.. not better and does nothing to settle the issue. The problem should be resolved privately. When dealing with an unhappy customer, sometimes it is better to simply take the loss and move on.

I am wondering if he was encouraged to complain publicly.

The shop did try to get him to come back to fix things to his satisfaction and he refused.

would you trust a shop that put your life in danger? they knew about the LCAB when i came back they said yeah the LCAB is no good

would you trust a shop that failed to replace a oil dipstick properly?

would you trust a shop that failed to fix you car after you brought then the car 4 times?

2 months may not seem much to you but lets see i work 6 days transportation to and from work is about $40 daily you getting all this? I was very VERY patient. I had to trick the owner into picking up my calls how mess up is that? i had to drive 30mins just to get any updates to see my car not being worked on

Honestly, George would have to be married to his computer for the next week if he got into this. He posted his response.
