Kobe's Laker career may be over.

Sounds like it. Once the Achilles snaps the other leg is bound to go.

I doubt Kobe is done. Recovery is said to be about 6 months which puts him on pace to play in the 2013-14 season opener. And he won't be like Derrick Rose who is taking his sweet-ass time coming back. I have faith in the Black Mamba.

Carmelo is playing better than anyone else in the NBA right now. The Knicks as a team look great as well. New York vs Miami will be a great Conference Finals. Go Knicks!

I have faith Kobe will try to come back but he won't be the same player. It's just not possible.

An Achilles rupture is devastating to an athlete! Found online.

Of the 11 players I found with ruptured Achilles tendons in the last two decades, four (including Isiah Thomas, who retired at 32 following a ruptured Achilles) never played in the NBA again. Just four returned to play at the same level by my estimation, though Dominique Wilkins' successful comeback is notable. Wilkins made two All-Star teams after a ruptured Achilles suffered at 32 and played until age 39.
The mind is willing, but the body can't perform the same way.

    Well this is bull$#@!.

Miami will make the finals and with Westbrook out OKC is a shell.

So either Miami versus Spurs or Miami versus Memphis. Likely the Spurs. Maybe Pop can stop Lebron?

As long as the Heat can shoot their 3's and over 50%. They are unstoppable. I think Heat versus Spurs will be a great match-up.

Miami can't be stopped unless they stop themselves and shoot <50%

You have to beat Miami inside. And if their shooters are off...

I am for Miami but San Antonio is a tough team with a lot of experience.

I think Duncan deserves to end it with this ring. I hope he gets it.

I didn't think the Spurs would fire back with a bigger blowout after their blowout, wow.
