Well hope your sister is smart enough to tell them there are no engine mods and a FMIC should improve temps. She is a woman so they want to push her around and take advantage. Tell her to scream rape if they do.

Haha . . . just got an update from my buddy after his dealing with the dealership. Too bad too as I was trying to lure him to the BMW world . . . Click here to enlarge

Just got off the phone with the dealership and you're not going to believe this. Apparently, while either removing the old water pump or putting in the new one, the technician stripped/cut/dismantled a wire. This is what caused the car to not start (what they thought all of your aftermarket stuff was the cause of), and they've been trying to figure it out for the past couple of days. They didn't have a new wire, so they had to have one shipped from Germany, which would take 10 days. Because they now knew what the problem with the car was, but there was nothing they could do about it, they wanted me to bring back the loaner this evening. I said this seemed unusual, but not a problem since I have a car and the owner is out of town. When they were troubleshooting this issue, the responsibility to provide the customer with a comparable vehicle fell onto the dealership. I did ask what would happen if the owner was in town and was given this; once the issue is out of the dealership's hands (they could do nothing for 10 days until the wire arrived), the customer is then forced to return the loaner, pay $50 a day to keep it, or get a rental car on their own. SO EVEN THOUGH THEY CAUSED THE EXTENDED PROBLEM (and they admitted to breaking the wire), the customer is forced to deal with the consequences. When I started laughing at the audacity of the service writer, she informed me that some customers have had to make their own arrangements for up to a month due to similar circumstances.

All of this is for naught, since while drafting this email, the dealership called back and said they're going to take the wire out of a new car (it won't be a used part). I can just come by tomorrow to turn in the loaner and pick up your car. But this one of the most ridiculous customer service stories I've heard in awhile, and most of my coworkers seem to agree (I kept putting the dealership on speaker when they were explaining the issue, we might have been laughing the entire time).

You should name the dealership. Good behavior should be rewarded and bad behavior should be punished. We can't avoid the dealer if we don't know who it is.
