Due to work commitments, dont have as much time as i wish, but still finding some time to work on this engine.ARP studs installed-its really very good kit, easy-er to work then oem bolts. Also nice new metal gasket vent on perfect too.Head vent on easy enough too,cam installation took a bit longer then i expected, but whole build is taking longer then i ever anticipated. Also i took my time doing valve adjustment-only 3 valves where 100% out of 24 Click here to enlarge. And last night got the timing sorted and vanos installed. So now really very close for that big lump of metal to be married to the chassis again.

Ohh and one slight update on my little project, initially i was planing on upgrading ESSvt460 kit with intercooler and stuff, but talking with ESS i come to decision to sell my existing kit and go for something else. And im going for JAWS PX600+ kit so it should be fun Click here to enlarge

Did ESS Tuning encourage you to go a different route?

Great to see that JAWS will have a potential client here. With the thorough documentation you've been doing on your build, I expect amazing coverage of the JAWS kit!

Congrats on getting it up and running!

In regards to that E36. Who is doing the tuning? I thought it wasn't possible to actually put two different maps on the standard DME with one being activated by the Sport Button. My understanding is that the Sport Button is solely throttle mapping.

E36 still waiting for all important-time.On other hand my e46 is going strong,it seems with every 100 mile i put on this engine its getting better and better. So now im up to 500 miles, and its time for all the fluids change, engine, box and diff. While the car was up on the ramp,i gave a full inspection, just to see is there any issues after that big engine rebuild, everything in 100% state. In couple of weeks im gonna put it on the rollers to see where we are with this set up.

What a great build. 1 bar is no joke on stock engine with just:

    Arp main studs
    Arp rod bolts
    Vac coated bearings
    Vac multilayer gasket

What is the size of the gasket? Vac offer a few gaskets and i already thought in buying the highest one to lower a tad the cr and increase a bit engine reliable. But i never found one that did it. Is your tune custom or is standart for jaws kit. Is your kit designed for stock engine configuration or need your mods?
