sucks about being banned. most of us are too, as much as we all hate sticky, we suport this site in principle.

EAS technically hasnt done anything wrong here I dont think.

correct me if im wrong, but a baseline is just that. and on a DJ dyno, with less load than a car actually see's, arent timing targets what you will actually get on the road, but then HP goes up afterwards due to reaching higher targets caused by less load?

I guess it states in the rules you cannot seek clarification/accuracy against anyones claims if they are a vendor?

This was a case of using a baseline of 351hp instead of 357 which is what should have been used. It's one of those things where 'half the truth is often a lie'.

I'm seriously in awe that I was banned over this.

Wow, sorry to hear about that Mike Benvo and THE TECH.

Regardless of what happens over these forums, nothing can take away the honest and hard work that an individual does. As beneficial as these forums really are with marketing, getting your work out there, and networking, they're also not necessary. So I encourage you to keep developing your own tunes and products. If people are pleased with your product and service then word will continue to spread despite whatever the politics are of this industry. Best of luck.

Last post I make on that site:

"This will be the last post I ever make on m3post. I would guess it will be deleted.

It is clear to me that the administrators of this site represent the interest of specific vendors here and not the community. More importantly, they do not appear to value their user base. As a result, I'm out of here.

Enjoy your cars everyone! I'll miss many of you."

Obviously EAS pays more than you or Tom has more pull for whatever reason. He has been openly disrespectful to you in posts so I'm sure he is gunning for you.

Inflated baseline as Benvo said to make their intake look better than the competition. Fraud really...that is if you accept that there are standards for dyno numbers, which really there are not...

Agreed! I love reading up on the countless technical and informative threads here. I don't post as much or contribute as much as I can simply due to my limited automotive and mechanical knowledge, but there is no doubt that I learn a lot here. No BS. No politics. Just pure car talk.

What frustrates me over on Bimmerpost is that the forum perpetuates this misconception of perfect and flawless vendors, leading to overly optimistic praise, and unnecessary ridicule of competition. It makes it very challenging for quality and honest smaller or newer businesses to flourish when they deserve to when there is such a strong hold or monopoly among select vendors/sponsors. I have said this many times, but gone are the days when the automotive culture and community were just that...a community. Now it seems like it's all about making money from customers and selfishly taking hold of the minds of consumers. No one seems to be open to constructive criticism any more. No one ever seems to be willing to admit that they made mistakes. It's sad because those are key ingredients to growth, maturation, and improvement. Many of us, as past, present, and future clients, deserve the right to know what really goes on and how certain businesses conduct themselves. If this is guarded by bias and filtering, then we would never really know who or what we deal with.

Blah...I can rant forever...In any case, Bimmerboost is a great forum and always fun to follow. Keep up the great content and discussion guys.

    It's just plain sad.

While this forum may be an option to being able to be on bimmerpost, it pales in comparison. It's hard to use and is just a huge mish-mash of cars. It was nice to be able to just go to the M3 portion of the forum rather than having to wade through everything here. I liked being able to hit the new posts button and seeing the M3 posts. Here you get every post about every car. Just not as enticing to me. Maybe it will grow on me, who knows.

Yeah but this forum seems to cater much less to the M3 and more to everything else.

But I just see that there is nothing wrong with not being perfect. We're all human and we make mistakes. By making mistakes, we can better ourselves in the work we do. That's just life. That's why I find it sad that certain forums hide that from the public because I think those are good opportunities for people to show where they have fell short and how they can prove that they have the ability to better themselves and move forward.

We cater to all German performance. Our M3 presence isn't as large, no doubt, but it's more interesting with smarter/more hardcore members anyway. M3post caters to the kids and common denominator. We're way more technical and more about performance here.

Frankly, a site where you can't even post race videos is a joke no matter the volume.
