Lightbulb Letting go of 1M, TJ Jeep Rubicon anyone?

Well, due to some unfortunate circumstances, I am having to file a Chapter 7 to help fight a lawsuit.

My 1M is over the Texas average car payment limit, so I will be returning it, and I have other plans with all the money I'll be saving.

A replacement vehicle is needed however, as I am allowed one car payment.

I've done a lot of research on the best Jeep off-road, which in my case will be a sand/beach environment, and have narrowed it down to the last of the TJs.

I'm looking at some 2005-2006 Wranglers with the Rubicon package, manual tranny and it's the AMC 4.0L I6. It has the Dana D44 diffs front and rear, and a Air Locking system to tie the axles together in 4WD-Low. It has fully independent suspension at each corner, very tight footprint, light and is considered one of the last "Real" Jeeps.

Anyone have any comments or suggestions? I'm finding them for 15-20K, and I really just need something that I can upgrade and destroy some trails with.

Thank you all, I'll keep yall updated on the extra development for the SR20DET S14 & 300zx ethanol build, and I will have another BMW soon once I get out of this mess. (Probably E30 chassis) Click here to enlarge

    Keep it real!

    Sucks man!

Wranglers are great cars if you don't care about power. Those 4.0's are slow specially if it's paired with slushbox but with manual it's better. Dana diff's are bullet proof. I have an old set of them in my Land Rover and it's the only part that doesn't break me down.
Jeeps can do more than having fun in sand. It's just a matter of choosing tires.

I'm sorry to hear this. You can't fight it without going Chapter 7?

Hummer H3 is better than any jeep offroad. But Rubicon is pretty badass.
