Looking at the log, 3rd had a large timing correction post shift and 4tg had two mid pull timing corrections...pretty aggressive...some mid gear AFR weirdness too BUT 10.8 is a 10.8...log tells me there's more in it for sure...

Shiv, why arent you using NLS?

There seem to be a couple little boost spikes in 3rd & 4th. Shortly after, it looks like AFR also spikes a bit and fuel trims try to correct (pretty effectively it seems). Maybe just a product of minor boost control anomalies?

Yes, but I guess there are different ways to execute it ... Shiv's pops and blows clouds of smoke.

Now that's an update worth posting not some of that incremental .001 improvements. Congrats to Shiv in being the 1st to bringing the 335i into the 10's, and it's a pretty solid run as well. I don't agree with the article up there. Most of us do have mods in our cars, so the cost of overall modifying will keep going up so you can't help that. But if somebody who doesn't have mods 10-13k price for a mod to make the car run 10's on slicks and 11's on the road is not that big of investment and well worth it. Again congratulations and job well done.

lol @ the thread rename. He finally ran 10s where other attempts (although with much less power and effort) only ran 11.0s. So he deserves a few hours or dare I say even a day of respect for that. Even if he does sound like a tool in his video. Click here to enlarge

You are correct, we did not think that he used NLS because it was so evident when he used it in the past. I guess that he has refined his NLS programming, congrats.

What's the next fastest MT? 11.4 and it has RBs. That's a pretty big difference. We all know the ATs have a huge advantage at the strip. I've seen ATs cut 1.7s on RFTs. Just give credit where credit is due. If they only can run 11.0 or 10.9 when an AT gets up and running, then I'd say the bashing would be legit.

spec stage 2(maybe 2+) clutch with lightweight flywheel. a clutch option that doesn't get much air time, possibly because of who actually engineered it for the n54 or because of spec's poor past rep.

LOL i agree. I actually take my statement back, his time is great, even with a 6mt (due to the drag radials). I can't imagine hooking much better with a auto, maybe .2 better or something....but it won't be drastic.
