Congrat to him on the time, cant help but notice that hes now running a bit past the 21psi that he originally advertised. I wish these runs werent so shrouded with secrecy.

Not that impressed, especially after considering the fact that he is on slicks.

Hey now, it would have been in the 10s if he didn't ride the rev limiter in first gear for .8 secs.

I honestly think the slicks are hurting his MPH noticeably. He also needs to run at a better track on DR's to see the better traps. I bet this car would trap 132-135mph at MIR on a day like today....low 60's with low humidity at -100ft elevation. My traps for example dropped 3-4mph by going from a 0DA to a 2500DA.

Damn, that's moving, and it gives Shiv's run some perspective as you mentioned.

Was that cts an auto? If it is, explains a lot. I'm all but certain a 6AT single will rip off 10s without an issue.

Give the guy a break, he mentioned that it was a test-n-tune affair to sort out his 2-step and lauch control. When he finally got it right, he $#@!ed up the 1-2 shift and still managed to break a record. I'm willing to bet, if he hadn't got kicked off the track he would have ran into the 10 that night.

yea, its an auto...thing is this is GMs 6L90E auto....its NOWHERE near as fast shifting as the dct or anything...might even be slower shifting than the n54s 6AT

N54 6AT is no slouch though. It's not really about shift speeds though it's about traction. The 6MT is a real chore to get off the line. To be honest I bet street tire rwd auto N54s could crack 11s with a bit of luck. Impossible on the manual.

Ive owned both so I feel shivs pain lol.

^truth. He's not running ideal setup right now. As I said early the tire setup would not be my preference nor the track. If he needs slicks to hook at that track then it sucks compared what we around here on the east coast all while having a worse average DA.

Auto will be much much easier as well.

The CTS-V running 139mph with ~700whp shows this. More constant acceleration, better launching, and an obviously awesome TQ curve. Where was the CTS-V run? Atco or MIR? Click here to enlarge <- most likely.

FWIW, the HP19 in the N54 is capable of 60ms shift times.
