    E46 330ci turbo

    Hi guys I'm after some help I have a bmw e46 330ci now I plan on putting turbo kit on it. The engine is stock and I plan running it at low boost know higher then 8psi. Can anyone tell me how I would go about tuning the ecu to run with turbo or if I need a aftermarket ecu?

    You can tune it with the factory ecu.

    Technique Tuning is who you are looking for. They have kits for the stock ecu for your exact car.

    Lol no took a while but got there in the end im new to the forum site. Am I right in saying that with turbo going on I have to change the fuel injectors, install the oil cooler, front mount intercollegiate, fuel pressure regulator, I was thinking of getting the oil feed for the turbo from the vanos and returning t back to the sump is there anything eles that needs installing? Remembering that is only running on stock engine.

    Hardware is not the issue, it's finding a tuner who is willing to work with you to get the car running once you've designed and fabricated the kit.

    You can tap the feed line to the vanos feed bolt on the back of your oil filter housing, and drain in to the oil pan. You do need larger injectors, and whether or not you need an FPR will depend on your tuner. An oil cooler isn't necessary but would be nice.

    You will need injectors and other associated hardware. You honestly are best off getting a tried and true kit than doing this yourself.

    Hey guy iv been calling around to try and get someone who can tune my ecu but there all saying it needs a standalone ecu what are your thoughts on this? And does anyone know a good standalone to install? Thanks.

    For standalones you want to talk to @Apex Speed Technology.

    If you want stock ECU work, you want to talk to Nick G at Technique Tuning.

    Would the manifolds that made for the m50 m52 and s52 would they fit the m54 engine if not does anyone know why?

    Finally a bolt-on turbo kit has been created for the BMW E46 330 models! Designed to work with a stock engine and provide up to 8.5psi of boost, the kit increases rear wheel power by a whopping 50%. With max boost available well before 3000rpm, V8-like power is just a throttle push away.
