Help deciding on wheels.... Pics inside!

Well I've narrowed my wheel choice down to CCW LM20's or Advan RS. My goal is to buy a light weight, good looking wheel that will be able to take a beating on our terrible NJ/NY roads. I'm thinking I'm going with 18's bc of those requirements but we'll see, the advan's look great in 19's.

My car is monaco blue, with silver trim and the OEM silver kidneys. I've thought about blacking out the trim/kidney grills and getting black wheels but I think the OEM silver really makes this color pop and the car looks great with silver colored wheels so I'm keeping it that way....plus everyone goes the "black out" route. The black against my blue just doesn't look right IMO.

Here is a pic of how my car looks currently....

and now here is some pics of a beautiful 135 with my same color scheme and similar front bumper/lip setup on ccw's.

Imo Pros: The CCW is a very strong wheel, lightweight (18 lbs each) and very classy looking.

Imo Con: the chrome finish, I'm not crazy about the chrome finish look, I like hyper silver much better. CCW can make any finish but I can't find any pics of hyper silver, plus the price goes up pretty steep when u start requesting custom finishes.

    ADVAN RS

IMO pros: very strong, very light (17-19 lbs depending on size), racing heritage (used in wtcc BMW cars) and decent cost.

IMO cons: the open wheel look exposes my lack of a bbk ha, I like a mesh looking wheel, not sure I'll be happy with this long term.

Here are some older pics of my car....but you get a idea of what I mean when I day the silver wheels/trim really look good with this color... I really need to do a proper photoshoot with how the car looks currentlyClick here to enlarge. I'm over my LM reps, they are 2 years old now with noticeable wear and are heavy! 24lbs front, 26 lbs rear, the new wheels will be a drastic change!

I like the advan RS better. Have you looked into BBS CH's or BBS RGR?

I got hookup on rims I can't say a price I don't want sticky to get mad at me. These are reps though and I can get them shipped for cheap. I can look into the advan RS if you're interested in a deal we can work out.

BBS ch's are like 27 lbs....heavier than my reps. I love their style but they are like a boat anchor ha...

I've never liked the rgr....not sure why. I'm trying to stay away from reps, I want a nice wheel this time.

I'm open to different wheels though for sure

not a fan of those Advans.

i do like the CCWs and the BBS but i couldn't go that high on the weight for the BBS.

your car is basically dark enough for that chrome look of the CCWs to work.if it was black they would be perfect.

those Forgestar F14s would be nice on your car in Titanium or Gunmetal and i think the up-charge for finish is small if there is one at all.i think the 18x8 weighs in at under 18lbs too.

Another issue I thought of with the CCW's in regards to the finish is how durable it will be. I don't daily drive my car but I wonder how well they would hold up against normal wear and tear. I wonder if they would have to be refinished after one year of rock chips, road tar, etc. A non chromish finish will hide that wear and tear a lot better.

I'd say go with the CCWs! I know what you are saying with the chrome finish, but I think you will be okay as long as you're not auto-x or anything like that. Like you said, you can get the hyper silver finish, which will probably look good as well. Good luck.

Do what I did and change cars so u can get proper wheels Click here to enlargeAlso, what u need to remember, is that's a track car, and only looks like that for a picture. That thing will rub constantly. Add a driver, and your goin nowhere. That's the problem with advertisements. Looks sick, but not driveable

Hmm 25lbs is average or heavy when it comes to wheels....my LM reps weigh 25 lbs.

Those 19 inch BBS LM-R's are 23.5 lbs, that's not bad for a 19 inch wheel. The CCW, advan RS, volks, are all between 18-20lbs.
