New Kid on the Block, KiokenM3 Gintani SC M3

Well about a month ago, Sticky posted his St 2+ Gintani SC kit was for sale at a great deal. this kit just happens to be the exact kit DLSJ5 runs and is Gintani's off the shelf st2+ SC kit with W/M who anyone else could purchase. the deal was so good that i wasnt able to pass it up, so after a few PM's the deal was done. A few people may know my car from some mexico runs, during that time i had RPI gt exhaust, evosport pulley, afe intake and scoops, dinan 4.10 gears, AA SSK and powerchip tune. while the power was good it was never enough for me. So a few wks passed since i had to wait to get the charger installed at Gintani. and after it was all said and done, my Gintani beast was done. the car has been supercharged for 3wks now and was able to go dyno at a independent dynojet. well the dyno speaks for themselves, all runs were performed on straight 91 octane with W/M. no dyno was done prior to SC'ing so i dont know the baseline Click here to enlarge also are comparo graphs with mine and Drews in both SAE and STD

    Whose dynojet was this?

INSANE freaking numbers, wow. 589 whp on 91 octane? I believe this is the strongest Gintani Stage 2 out there solely based on dynojet numbers.

Are you still running the 4.10's? Congrats, awesome numbers, enjoy it.

it was at specialty z's dynojet. thanks sticky for your awesome kit, im sooooo loving it!!!!!!!! ya i still have the 4.10's and are awesome when paired with the SC. to be honest, i think i could have pulled a higher hp if i did a few more pulls. my car happen to make more power with each pull. the power went from 588, 595 then 601 in that order. i updated the post with STD CF and my comparo runs with Drews

Wow man, 601 STD? Your car is freaking insane.

We see yet again on the same dyno DCT drivetrain losses coming into play, the manual really does well.

ya 6sp def has less DTL, but it still wont compensate for those lightning fast shifts

You are right, just goes to show what a difference the DCT makes.

Glad to see you like the shorter gears with the SC. The manual just has a really, really long 3rd gear with the stock gears.

On the same dyno at the same boost level in worse weather, correct?

I just want to make the point about the drivetrain losses clear to everyone.

The haters are going to go nuts. That's power equal to a certain supercharged 4.6.

Congrats Ricky. Enjoy your new power in good health. I love how each pull the power increased as it adapted to the dyno conditions its a sign of good tuning My car did that too with my NA tune. I loved it.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.

This SC tune adapted and added more power pull after pull but another SC tune goes from higher power to way lower power after adapting? Something isn't quite right.

"Great numbers, did you try an better gas ?
9,5 psi and 91 octane should pull some timing and result in less power, do you have the possibilty to try, i am a bit curios how much it does.
Your numbers are a little bit higher than mine but i run 7,5 psi and 94 octane."
When I saw that quote I kinda had to laugh and asked my self "where dey do dat at?" I personally don't see timing being pulled any of the charts and if the tune was made on 91 It shouldn't pull timing unless major heatsoak is going on.

Well as fare as i know , bad gas results in less power if you know more than i about this please let me know.
Using race gas did result in more hp on every turbo car i had.
I believe the op would have get even more hp with race gas

You're correct when using race gas he should gain a little power but the wording you used is a lil wrong because hes running 91 octane doesn't mean it will pull timing unless it was a map designed for higher octane in the first place IE:93 octane. In your cars case I don't think it should pull timing either unless there was major heatsoak or the map was designed to run on higher octane then you are using do you get what I'm saying?
