It's due to my BOV. When I unplug the Vacuum Line from the BOV. It will idle fine but high.

But if the vacuum line is connected with it hit -6psi it will open and let all the air out and almost kills it.

I am going to try -3psi Spring and see what happens. If all Fails I will return the BOV and get the QR from Tial.

If you use a strong enough spring in the Tial you may be able to get away with it. You're probably going to want to run the -11psi spring, which I believe is about -22 inches of vacuum. With the blower you should pull just above that at idle. The only problem with this is that when you lift near redline you might get a little compressor surge on fast lifts. The AA valve is a bit of a workout to get on but it does the job when installed correctly.

When the car is cold it's going to idle a little high until it reaches operating temp. Good luck!

I emailed ATP and order a TiAl QR Valve with -3psi spring and will be returning the Q. I guess, I can give up the WHOOSH noises. ;D

The howling and mass movement of air sound is normal. If you're getting any belt squealing, you can use the turnbuckle to adjust the blower position until it stops.

The exhaust note does seem a little funky. I know that the MS45 cars have a cold start issue, does the note change after a few minutes of idling?

Zak said he gave me the one with the higher idle that corrected the cold start issue. The exhaust sounds doesn't change after few minutes of idling. I think my AA BOV is adjusted incorrectly and need to be adj. As the Nut and Screw is flush down on the BOV.

He also said I need to run bigger line as well and he thinks I only need it on the front nipple and not the rear section. Can you confirm David?

The exhaust I have atm is Headers and OEM 325i Catback...

    That exhaust is really funky!

Does the pulsing still exist at higher RPMs...say holding it at 2000 RPMs? (Might need to use some little helpers)

    Here's my guess:

Since you haven't opened up the engine internals, it must be something you've disconnected and reconnected during the installation process.

I would re-seat your connectors on the DME, and every ignition coil, as well as every fuel injector. Also check the grounds for the ignition coils.

I'm guessing one of the cylinders isn't running properly, I don't think it's a tuning issue or a BOV issue.

I don't know if you have software to do this, but with the Autoenginuity, I could cycle injectors individually to test if they were working with the engine off.

It could be this. As I do have a little hesitation/shutter when it start from a stop. I will check into this.

I have not change out the spark plugs yet. Zak is going to give me the a new NGK part number to use today.

I'd do what Adam said as well. It's unfortunate, but the majority of problems are always the little things. I go through a huge checklist of little issues every time I pull my car apart that can make your life miserable if not done properly.

You only use the top nipple on the BOV, not the one of the side of it.

Swap plugs today and saw Plug 6 was DAMP Click here to enlarge The new Plugs I swapped in is NGK 4091 non resistor type plug and heat range is 7. The Connections on the Coils is Fine and the ground as well. I will have to recheck the seat on the DME and Injectors as well.

They have a new system out now though that I'm not familiar with....but the old system...the same one that I currently have is what they are using in the school system where I live to teach shop class.

I have unplugged the battery from the Car for about 3 weeks. I wont be back in Ms until 1-2 more weeks. I have a few cars I need to work on in Tx before I head back. e30 need A/C for the 6 hour trip back, friend need some CCV and Intake Boot maintenance done on his ride and another Black-Out Vortech v2 S/C Project.

Nothing much to update. Since, I been backed I cleared the CEL and it turn out I was missing an ambient temp sensor. So I order another one and free from all lights Click here to enlarge I still have few more stuff to do before I cut my Driver Side Fender to fit the 3" Pipe for Air Filter.

Also, picked this up to finish up the S/C install.
