Great job DZ… can’t wait to see the graph. Where is HP peaking in rpm?

BTW: gear ratio won’t change dyno results… if anything negligible difference.

P.S. I had serious problems on the dyno to prevent wheelspin, even in 5th gear when the dyno operator floored it the tires couldn't get any grip (these were Michelin Pilot Super Sport with 265mm in the rear). I was only able to get the car dynoed at all because anti-rust-spray was used on the tires which made them extremely sticky for a few minutes. Didn't you have a similar problem?

Is your car an automatic or a manual? If an automatic, what have you done to the transmission to keep it together with that mountain moving torque?

dyno is reading HP (power)... time to move mass... and torque is calculated from engine rpm. If you calced based on wheel rpm, then torque would change with gearing, but HP always stays the same.

That's someMASSIVE torque. Holy hell! Click here to enlarge

Guys, you also need to remember that the torque number the dyno displays is not the torque at the rear wheels, it's corrected between the known rear tire speed and the engine speed. Shifting into a different gear for the runs or changing the diff ratio doesn't change what the dyno shows (aside from different rates of accleration of the roller due to how fast the engine can spin up, how the turbos are loaded, how much heat the motor generates to make a long pull versus a shorter pull, etc). Since the dyno knows both engine speed and rear wheel speed, everything else in between is just gears.

Doesn't a Dyno measure TQ and calc HP? Either way, I see what you are saying based on wheel RPM, makes sense.

Then Saturday morning filled a full tank of 94 and drove to Detroit for a wedding. Then filled up yet again on the way back. It was only 94 in the tank last night along with my meth setup running close to 100% meth if not 100%. Sunday night I rewired my meth so I have a trunk mounted tank and that's what I hit the dyno with. There's possibly more in it on race gas + meth but I won't try that again until later. Only reason I poured it in on Friday night was to be able to turn down IAT compensations and run more timing to see what she's got on something other than pump which without meth was killing my power past 5k rpm.

Next up will be taking the stock intake pipes off and redynoing when I get a chance again followed by some E85 in the mix.

This is already $600 in dyno time.
That's dedication right there man. Good job DZ!

You're clearly running out of airflow after about 4800rpm. I put $1 on the intake tubes being the significant restriction at this point. Could be the turbine but I'd think intake tubes. Gotta change/unhook them but, damn, $600 in dyno time!

How much HP do you think is coming from boost vs better flow from the heads vs timing run? (what do the boost/timing curves old/new overlaid look like?)

    Props! Click here to enlarge

Most I could do on my car with pump and meth without running into heavy timing corrections was about 20psi with around 10-12deg of timing.

At the moment timing is around 17.5-18*, very similar if not a touch lower top end boost past 6k rpm but significantly higher midrange boost than ever before

This happened to me once because I have no LSD and cheap tires. I ended up leaving the dyno and not paying

So glad for you that your car is running great and breaking records.

BTW....I'm still doing my weekly question to Pro-Racing as to when they will have a batch of E85 ready.

Of course you know the answer is "next week" Click here to enlarge

I don't know how those guys stay in business......they even ran out of all their racing gas this week.

Oh well....I will just keep trying I guess.
