1M RS from Tuningwerk: 521 HP

Tuningwerk has picked up the 1M and made it into a streetlegal monster.
With a power to weight ratio of 3hp/kg this car rocks.
    Tuningwerk claims 521hp with 614Nm.
It has a Drexler LSD and a Movit-6 Big brakeset with 370mm brakedisks in front. Carbon brakes are optional.
They also fitted a CF bonnet, trunklid, rear spoiler and front lip.
19"ATS wheels and a titanium exhaust system are also included in the (German) pricetag of 119.900 Euros.

A little pricey - then again, for this power/weight - and everything on it, not too bad considering it's a full-blown racecar. Pretty bad a$$ to say the least, wouldn't mind giving one of these a try. Click here to enlarge

I wonder if they're measuring in crank HP? I'm wondering what they've done to the engine.

    Awesome build.
Yes the 335i was a bit overlooked in Europe and there weren't many high quality builds. But the 1M gets alot of attention. Guess it's the attraction of the M Badge...

Not just the M badge though. It's a better starting point if you aren't taking price into consideration.

if you guys look at the dyno graph. the power drops off right at 6k. if these are upgraded turbos they're honestly not up to snuff. it's possible they chose to lift off the throttle before redline, it's also possible that it's the 'stage1' design of clipped turbine/upp'd comp - an old tech that is unfortunately still used by some shops today. on the n54 that only enlarges the problem seeing as the compressor is already too large for the turbine. either way this is a long shot from being a viable product here in the states at least (imo).

You're right. If you sum up all the mods it takes to make the 335i handle like an M car (and the 1M is pretty much all about handling), it takes a bunch: LSD, suspension parts from the M3, coilovers, sways... Ask me how I know Click here to enlarge

But apart from the chassis I don't find the 1M very appealing. I can't get over that exterior styling (it's still a 1er...), the interior is very tight. However it has the right spirit: an affordable sports car with the E36 M3 in mind.

Still, for 100,000 Euros or whatever they can go shove this all... well, you know.

Any luck? I think it would be more cost efficient just to slap some RB's/FBO. Cant wait to see a combo like than on a 1M.

Its 521 crank guys thats what they usually quote in europe. Dyno looks good, the taper at the end is typical for this engine. the tune looks to be a solid and well thought out, the dip at the end is probably inentional due to the nature of the N54 being asthmatic at that speed.

I cant believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather have a dinky vishnu kit on a 1M than paying 100k for this
