    New 5.0s are ridiculous. I really want either that or wait for the shelby 2013. It's not even fair anymore, for 1000 bucks in mods you're in the low 11's. WTF?

    My friends Mustang site is having an Atco track rental on then 27th... Limited inspection make sure you have a race jacket and helmet, no getting booted over times vs the cage and unlimited runs. PM for info its an all day event all makes and spectators are welcome. The cost is $210 includes lunch as well.

    The 2013 650 snake is going to be a beast, however if im spending 60k on a mustang, im just going to go for a z06 for another 10ish lol.

    The 5.0 imo hooks really really good. Traction is what makes these cars run good times, not the actual power. I am probably around 410ish if I had to guess. My 135i had more power, more torque, less weight by a good margin and 3 mph faster through the traps struggling for traction every single time I went out.

    i dunno man, those other 2 had beefy tires, and cutting 1.6 6o's. but like you said, they probably had too much. do you recall the size? one guy had 4.10's, and the other 3.73 right? id like to see what effective ratios they had going on. that was just plain ridiculous that you were out running both of them

    Well the one kid nailed a 1.59, as for why they are so god damn slow for that 60, i think it has a lot to do with their shifting. How many times did you hear them complain about bogging, missing shifts, ect ect. How many times did you see miss a shift? lol Telling you if I actually took that kids car, on the 2nd run i would hand him a 11.7-8 slip easy imo.

    Another example, look at the 5.0 vs m3 thread on here. The basically stock m3 didnt get walked all that hard. Compare that to our video, you got the jump and I just went around you. So knowing how to shift these cars makes all the difference in the world. No other explanation imo.

    Overall, not as fast as I expected. BUT, it would seem EVERYONE was running slow today except laloosh.. I swear he has a sneaky pete 50 shot in there somewhere Click here to enlarge

    The talking among the other guys, was that a few cars were off by as much as 3/10's off their usual. I can believe it as that puts us all right about where we expected to be.
    Some non-driving 'stangs were out there more modded than laloosh, and on some sticky rubber, couldnt match his car in ET or speed.

    What i would like to mention, is that upon review, 2 things:
    1st,we noticed that Atco changed its timing equipment from last month. Not sure how that affects the actual timing but is cause for concern

    2nd, in complete contrast to the previous last year, the right lane was running faster than the left. And it was consistantly faster..

    Is atco slowing down? I know they actually did a tech inspection, asked how fast i was going to go, and informed me of all the rules, that if i did run faster than 11.5, i would be thrown out ect. None of that has happened before and we may be in for a change here.

    Even if things are slowing down, i still picked up 1.5 mph just from the Evolve tune. My next trip out i will go back to stock tune to get a baseline, and then flash the Evolve again while at the track to see realtime improvements..

    Honestly, your 60 foots suck. Drag radials + launch control and you should be doing 1.7x's and much better times.

    MDM mode with oem tires cut low 1.9's for me. Y0R DOIN IT WRONG.

    im still on street wheels. i refuse to get sticky rubber until i need it. i dont worry about the ET, just trap speed. as long as i stay consitantly $#@!ty 2.1-2.2 then i have my bechmark.

    all these runs were in S6 btw, notice how consitent the ET and mph-for the respective lanes that is..

    Try something different...
    i meant buy a dedicated rim/tire. i agree i need it,a stock car "needs" it, and will borrow a set soon to see the differences, but for now, that is just another variable i didnt want to add yet. i still need to dyno too to see what pipes netted me, and then add the tune again as well.

    i didnt want to just add a tune and sticky tires as that could be decieving and not show just what each part can produce. I didnt want a scenario where i ran mid 12's@114mph one day, add tune and DRs and then run 11.8@120 and give people false expactations.

    I was originally against a tune, but now that I have it, it was DEFINATLY worth the money, it complements the other small things ive done perfectly.

    my goal now is the N/A records. even though air temp is against me currently. im confident they will be broken soon, i just want to show people how to replicate it

    im not so sure the ecu is as good as the n54's in regards to fueling. im sure i could push for T come up with something to activate it, but its not on my list, and im sure even further down th list for him. i do have everything i would need laying around the house though..

    sticky on my 132 trap thread didnt you $#@!ing rant how that with a better launch I will have lower traps? What a $#@!ing joke.

    Steve use my DR and use LC and youll run 11's with 117 trap, I'm a firm believer a great launch will increase your trap.
