This is absolutely no surprise to anyone. I have spelled it out very clearly that vendors can ban users from threads they create. They do pay for that ability.

So how's that better than vendor X asking for posts to be deleted by an admin on e90post? Ah I get it: on this forum, the vendor gets blamed, and not the admin... Way to go to eliminate "corruption"...

how do you guys not understand it by the fact your posting in a thread in direct competiton/response to a vendors thread? if you want to talk about why you can post in their thread, fine, but you could talk about what the $#@!ing issue is instead. do you not see the difference? you cant post in THAT ONE $#@!ING SPECIFIC THREAD IF THE VENDOR DOESNT WANT YOU TO.

YOU CAN HOWEVER POST A NEW THREAD IN RESPONSE TO IT ON THE SAME FORUM WITHOUT BAN OR ADVERSE PENALTY
and that his how you have your freedom and not bias toward anyone. damn, smart people are so stupid sometimes

I get your point. But it's still two sides of the same coin.

Because if Vendor X doesn't want Vendor Y constantly pissing on their threads they can simply make it so Vendor Y can't participate in their threads. No posts need to be deleted in the process.

I prefer for the thread creator to moderate their own thread. We don't need some mod to choose sides.

Vendors deserve the right to protect their interests and have control of their business thread. If you want to question them, create your own thread. Rather simple, eh?

Why? You'll have the ability relatively soon. Want to cross the 10,000 member mark first.

Sticky, I have a life. Being active enough on this forum to get 10,000 member marks is not high on my priority list. There only seem to be about a dozen active members in this particular sub forum anyway. That means I would have to be on here 24/7 to get 10,000 anything..

Can you b*tch and moan on any other forum like this without being banned? Can a thread like this even be created? Wouldn't it be instantly deleted and an infraction given out?

    Make your own thread.

I think you misunderstood. I said once the forum itself passes 10,000 members. You don't need any "marks" not sure what you are saying.

    Exactly.

Wow, so harsh of us to make sure thread creators have their threads/intention respected? Seriously?

No big deal. You will have no "rep" requirements for using the feature.

There will be some other things as well such as people on your ignore list not being able to participate in your threads.

They should stop pretending to be a BMW forum already.

They have the largest group of experienced track drivers though.. There is a wealth of knowledge on that forum. It just depends on what knowledge you are seeking.

There are track guys but unfortunately the quality is marred by a bunch of people contributing who don't have any experience or knowledge and solely use the forum for OT.

There is also a group mentality that alienates newcomers instead of encouraging them. The software as well as the design is VERY outdated. It's only relevant due to where Google places it due to the domain name. They can't even update their front page with their resources and I update 6 all by myself daily?

The E9X knowledge sucks. The E46 stuff is ok I guess but the forced induction knowledge level is pretty damn low.

In my opinion, it is just about the bottom of the barrel from a BMW forum standpoint.

You should know, a successful forum has a community. M3forum, whatever you might think of them, has a strong core community. They have 22K unique visitors a month, you only have 4K. They are also "m3" specific, you are not.

So.. technically, they are still a bigger community..

Fair point. But it is not a strong BMW community.

True, but with their years and years on me isn't this to be expected? My pace of growth is higher though and I'll take quality over quantity.
