Nice. I test drove one of these in Spain, much more comfortable than the previous M5 while is much faster. It's more like a AMG than a M to be honest.

JC really likes this new M5.
So much that he didn't want to put the laptime on the laptime board and dismissed it as irrelevant because the track was soaking wet.
I can't remember him doing that ever before.

    Yes.
The old M5 did a 1:26.2 on a dry track.
Fastest BMW still the 1M with a 1:25, which is remarkable because the other first M-car Click here to enlarge is the M3 with 1:25.3

How can Hammond stand to drive with the steering wheel so far away? Move the seat up, man, we know you're small!

Nice car, agree with the engine noise from speakers being cheesy.

"Might be the best all around car in the world right now."

Nice! I love how the critics (and we need them) rarely see the big picture. There's always something that should be changed - it's how things improve- but this will be a great daily driver for years to come!

I've heard nothing but accolades about the new M5; I'm hopeful the new M3 follows in its footsteps and is received just as well.

This is an awesome quote - "and with that new twin-clutch gearbox, the shifts are so fast the gap between them cannot even be measured... That's good, but it's not as good as the way this car simply devours corners." :-)
