    OE Tuning announces E-Z Flash - Map Switching for German Performance Vehicles

    The big day is finally here. OE Tuning has announced that finally we have a map switching option for many of the popular German performance vehicles on the market. Many of you know that the S65 for example had to be flash tuned and no tuner on the market had the ability to provide different maps to account for different setups on the fly. That is, no tuner had the ability until today. OE Tuning is the first tuner to have a map switching option for the factory DME E9X M3 among many other models.

    So what can EZ flash do? It does not simply provide different maps. Here are the features provided by the product:

    - Tuning
    - Data Logging
    - Map Switching
    - DTC Reading
    - Code Clearing
    - USB connection
    - Remote download and upload of maps
    - No limitation on the number of tune changes as with traditional flash approaches.
    - Easy to use as the name implies
    - Competitive Price
    - The only product of its kind available for the S65

    Ok, I get that this is a big deal for factory DME BMW M3's with the S65, what about other models?

    Well, this is not just limited to the E9X M3 even though this product will be making huge waves in that respective market. The product already supports the following models:

    I can say from personal experience this product has made it to market in record time. I was absolutely astounded to hear it was already available as I expected a very long lead time.     I don't even know if flat out incredible cuts it. I mean, I know Jeremy is talented, but this kind of blew me away. If only people knew how fast this came about and the waves this is going to make.

    This is a dream product for M3 guys and the N54 market just took a deep breath.

    If this thing works thats definitely huge. Map switching on a BMW ECU is unheard of! Are they going to make it work with the S54 ecu as well? Im guessing if they can do it for the E9x they can do it for the E46. Definitely waiting for more information..

    Jeremy hooked this up on my e55 and it really is incredible. It takes maybe 45seconds to switch maps. Plus, as Joseph pointed out there are a lot of other options built in with the unit. Jeremy is seriously setting the tuning world upside down right now.

    Yes, S54 will be available as well.

    Map switching the BMW ecu is going to change the game, this is incredible.

    I don't know much more then how to use it. You plug a little black box into your obd port and a green light will flash. This signifies that it has been recognized. Then the light will be red while the maps are switched, usually about 45 seconds. When it is finished light goes back to green. Pull it out and you are good to go. I am not going to lie, It is pretty nice being able to run 2 custom dyno tunes. He can also hook you up with a valet mode as well.

    Interesting, this is a pretty incredible product. I was on the site and I was looking at the N54 flash and truthfully it is a bit weak as it seems its only adding about 70hp at the crank. That being said, it seems like a pretty darn good option for those that are interested in a conservative tune that has the advantage of flash type response and at home manipulation. Very cool indeed.

    You will see N54 results from the dyno comparison. It will be nice to see everything compared by a third party, same time, same place.

    Just saw one of these bad boys and got a lil demo of how it works, the name suits it well, it looks really easy to use and the possibilities with this thing are amazing!

    Think about a NA e92 Bolt on M3 that has an aggressive tune, then you can switch the map to a low timing, lower AFR tune for a nice 150shot of nitrous!

    so I could switch from the OE Tune to STOCK tune if i wanted to take it in for service? and would Porsche be able to tell it was ever tuned?

    These are really good questions.

    I do not see why you could not go to a stock tune unless you are SC'd which obviously would not be wise.

    If the Porsche dealer works like the BMW dealer then they can't tell.

    im just paranoid, if something happened (3.8 is new, who knows if any probs will arise) and they had to check the ecu..would want to make sure they cant tell, figure flashing it to stock is the best way

    What about us poor guys with 2011 E9X ECUs? I saw the OE/Gintani successfully worked on one of these 2011 software updates. Is there a tune in the works for the 2011 software?
